Lenna was in the forest taking down trees to get some wood for her fireplace. After taking down three trees, cutting them into logs and carrying them to the front of the house through snow she was completely drained. "I need some water." she mumbled while making her way inside.

When she passed her laptop she saw a red warning on the screen. She dropped her idea of getting water and sat down behind the table. "What the shit?" Lenna was reading the warning and knew instantly that someone had hacked into her system and was now long gone and she had no way of tracking them down. She needed to hope for the best and to build more firewalls.

"Oh god, this is awful." Lenna whined while trying desperately to secure her laptop. She wasn't really used to that kind of technology and everything else in the internet. "Fuck that. If I die I die." She finally gave up and decided to make some dinner instead. Suddenly car engine sounds came from outside and there seemed to be multiple. "I might die sooner than I thought."

Lenna had grabbed her rifle and carried it on her back. When she opened the front door she found the same group of men from Novi Grad. "Leonid! My friend!" the leader greeted her with a strong accent. Lenna nodded. "He wanted to pay you a visit over here. Wondered whether you had everything." the translator said. "I'm fine." Lenna answered. "Vitali is happy to see that you can protect yourself." the translator nodded towards her gun. "I can handle myself and take care of everyoneone who dare to come to my property with bad intentions." Lenna gave them a subtle threat. The translator and Vitali seemed to argue before the translator came back to Lenna. "Vitali would like to say that he hopes that he can count on you when things get serious." Lenna nodded for answer. Vitali shouted out something and everyone hurried back to the cars and drove off except himself and the translator.

"It is winter and you wear a sweater. Do you have everything that you need?" the translator asked. "If you don't have a spare winter coat then I don't really need anything." Lenna thought that she had joked but the translator told Vitali and he moved to the car. After a moment he came back with a large coat and a pair of gloves. "From Vitali to Leonid." Vitali smiled. "Thanks. You can count me in if anything big happens." Lenna assured and took the clothes from Vitali.

When Lenna was in bed she stared up at the ceiling. She was afraid to fall asleep even when her eyelids became heavy and she yawned after almost every minute. Finally the sleep took her.

"Lenna! Lenna! Lenna!"
Lenna ran around in her childhood house. She tried to locate who was yelling for her. There were nobody. After the yells stopped all she could hear was a maniacal laugh and a shot being fired. When she made it to the living room she found her sister dead on the floor and Private Walters standing behind her with a gun pointed at her. He then aimed it at Lenna.
"Good to see you again, Sergeant Higgins!"

---

Lenna shot into a sitting position and fell out the bed. Her eyes were wide and darted around in the room. When they finally settled on the window she saw the moon shining in. She pulled herself up with the help of her blanket.

But didn't go right back to sleep. Instead she made her way outside like the last time and drew another cigarette from the pack.

Lenna carried the old radio station and the old TV to the house. She cleaned both of them and lifted the radio station on the table. "Let's see what we can use from here." She first tried to start it but when that failed she opened the huge thing. It was dusty and had a few webs inside. After a thorough cleaning from inside and taking all the pieces out of the box she started inspecting them one by one. After finding a few broken pieces and giving her best to replace them with the TV pieces the box miraculously started working. She tuned on the SHIELD channel but it was taken down. After searching around she found the channel that the Avengers used.

...sake, watch your language.

That's not going away anytime soon.

"Oh shit, that's Steve." Lenna mumbled surprised when she heard the Cap's voice.

Sir, I have detected a new device connected to our channel. What would you like me to do?

Lenna knew that it could end bad for her but she couldn't tune off from the channel. Something that she wouldn't let even her mind admit was that she had been stunned by the first unfamiliar male voice from the radio and that she didn't tune away from the channel because of him.

Can you locate the device?

I'm afraid, sir, that it is too old for any GPS detections. The signal is strong so I suggest that it is near your location.

"Well so much of hiding." Lenna sighed but didn't say anything to the Avengers.

Ah screw that then. I'm busy right now.

Lenna sighed out of relief that the man that she couldn't recognize by his voice gave up on her. She turned the volume down a bit and started cleaning up.

Please be a secret door, please be a secret door, please be a secret door... Yay.

Lenna snorted at the sudden childishness that she heard from the radio. "Way to go man." she chuckled while putting on her coat and carrying the TV back to the shed.

When she slammed the door close behind her she clapped her hands clean and shoved them deep into the coat's pockets taking out her cigarette pack and a lighter. She looked around and admired the beauty of the fresh snow around her.

Suddenly a jet flew over her. She instantly knew that there were Avengers onboard but she didn't make anything to get their attention. Instead she took the last puff of smoke and made her way back to the house to throw more wood into the fire.
