"Alisa. Wake up." Lenna shook the almost too peacefully sleeping woman on her chest. Lenna brushed the black hair out of Alisa's face and she gently caressed the bruise that after almost a week was still on her fair skin. Vitali hadn't even mentioned Alisa anymore and he seemed to have forgotten about her.

When she didn't dare to have another attempt to wake Alisa she carefully slipped out of bed and went downstairs. She lit the fire and made coffee before sitting behind the kitchen table and tuning the radio to the Avengers' channel. But there was nothing. Not even the overly polite British man. "That's weird..." Lenna mumbled before sipping coffee.

"What's weird?" a sudden voice asked from behind and hugged tightly around her torso. "Nothing. It's nothing." Lenna quickly muttered out and changed the radio channel. "If you say so." Alisa smiled. "It's a fresh brew. Grab yourself a mug." Lenna encouraged Alisa while raising her cup. "I will." Alisa smiled and kissed Lenna's cheek before going to the cupboard.

Lenna and Alisa stood outside on the front porch, while Lenna was smoking. "You know the snow is melting." Alisa started a conversation. "I noticed." Lenna nodded still thinking why the channel had been silent. "Is there something wrong? Did I do something?" Alisa asked, now placing her hand on Lenna's arm. "No, you didn't do anything. Just in thought." Lenna explained and smiled at Alisa after letting out a puff of smoke. Lenna wondered if she would ever hear that stunning voice again. "It's cold. Let's get back inside."

Lenna sat down behind the kitchen table and tuned to Vitali's channel. "Translate, please." Lenna said while looking at Alisa. She sighed and focused on the radio. "He is contacting you!"

"Can I get Baron?"

Baron!

Hello, Leonid. Vitali wishes to give you an invitation to his wedding with Olena.

"Invitation received. To you need immediate answer."

No.

"I'll go then. Goodbye."

Goodbye, Leonid.

Lenna had observed Alisa's reaction after the mentioning of a wedding. "Who is Olena?" Lenna asked after she had turned off the radio. "The woman I thought Vitali was cheating on me." Alisa mumbled quietly. "Come here. I think you need one." Lenna smiled sadly and opened her arms for Alisa.

"So are you going?" Alisa asked after a long silence. "I don't think so. I don't really like partying. Unless you don't want to go." Lenna said staring into her coffee cup. "No, I'd rather spend time with you here, away from those awful people." Alisa cupped Lenna's face with her small and gentle hands. Lenna put her hand over Alisa's and rubbed it with her thumb.

She had really grown to care for this girl but she saw something in her eyes that she couldn't give her- endless love. Yes, she loved her but not like Alisa would have wanted, no. She loved her like her sister or a close friend and it broke Lenna's heart to think about what Alisa would go through if she found out that the Leonid she knew was really a woman named Lenna.

"Come. Let's go outside. I'll teach you to shoot." Lenna said and stood while putting on her sweater. "I'm terrible at shooting. I don't think it's a good idea." Alisa said. "Don't be ridiculous. You need to learn how to protect yourself because from some situation you can't come out using only your words." Lenna tried to persuade. "If you say so..." Alisa said and finally stood to put on her coat that Lenna was holding up for her.

"See. Back there I lined up a few soda cans. They are your targets." Lenna said while pointing at the cans. Alisa nodded while listening what Lenna said. "Come here. I'll show you." Lenna said and waved her over. She took Alisa infront of her and put her hands around Alisa and infront of them both. "Now take my hands." she encouraged. Alisa nodded slightly and raised her hands to also take a hold of the gun. Lenna aimed and pulled the trigger after what the first can fell. "See, it's easy. Now you try."

Lenna handed the pistol to Alisa. She took it carefully and put her hands in the same position that Lenna's had been. "Good. Now lift the gun, close one eye. Now, through the rear sight look at the front sight, line the top parts up and whenever you are ready, shoot." Lenna explained while adjusting Alisa's position just a bit. After a moment Alisa pulled the trigger and the second can fell down. "Great job! You did it." Lenna smiled. "I... Did it?" Alisa asked and looked at the cans. "Yeah. You are a natural." Lenna smirked.

"I'm going to Novi Grad tomorrow. Do you want to come?" Lenna asked while working on their broken toaster. "I don't know... What will you be doing there?" Alisa asked while observing what Lenna was doing. "I'm buying some food, visiting Vitali and then probably find some guns." Lenna explained like everything she had just said was as ordinary as breathing. "I guess I could come. But I don't want to see Vitali. That bruise is a painful reminder." Alisa said and wrapped her arms around Lenna. "You don't have to see him. I promise. I'll get Baron to translate." Lenna mumbled before gasping and putting her finger in her mouth after what she tasted the metallic of blood. "You sure?" Alisa sighed.

"I don't want to drag you back there, if you don't want to."

"Now I want to." Alisa nodded with a determinated look in her eyes while taking Lenna's hand into hers and applying pressure on the small cut.

---

"Are you absolutely sure?" Lenna asked when they stood infront of Vitali's house. Alisa nodded slightly and waited for Lenna to make the first move. Lenna sighed and knocked on the door.

"Hello Vitali." she greeted the man that came to the door. He said something before turning towards Alisa and saying something about her in a very violent tone. Lenna glanced at Alisa who was shaking. "He asked why did you bring that whore here." Alisa mumbled. "Tell him that you are my translator." Lenna ordered while staring at Vitali under her brows. Vitali raised his brow at what Alisa said. After a moment he opened the door wider and let them in.

Vitali talked about something and Lenna waited for Alisa's translate. "He is talking about his wedding. He wants to know your answer." "Say that I don't like big parties." Alisa nodded and talked quickly without looking at Vitali. "He wants to talk about business with you. He needs a gang taken out." Alisa said. "Tell him that I'll do it if he gives me two rifles, three pistols and two knives. All have to work. And with ammo." Lenna looked intensely at Vitali. "He won't to business like that. Or when he does there is a twist somewhere." Alisa whispered to Lenna without even saying a word to Vitali about Lenna's plan. "But that's the way I do business and I need weapons if I'm going in." Lenna explained herself. Alisa sighed and told Vitali Lenna's demands. Vitali smiled and even laughed a bit. "He says that it's deal.... But you are going in alone. Unless you don't drop your demand." Alisa whispered. "It's a deal then." Lenna smirked.

"Do you know how dangerous these gangs are? You don't know what you are getting into. You might die!" Alisa tried to convince Lenna that it was too risky. "I need guns." was all that Lenna said before following Vitali. "I can't lose you! You are too important to me!" Alisa cried out. Lenna turned around and looked at Alisa with a raised brow. "Oh Alisa... I'm sorry but I'm doing this so I can protect you better." Lenna said before following Vitali again and leaving Alisa there.

When she got out with a bagful of weapons Alisa was waiting for her by the motorcycle. "Do you smoke?" Lenna asked while taking out a cigarette from her pack. "No, in fact I don't." Alisa said while taking a cigarette from Lenna and placing it between her soft lips. "And I don't like that you do either."

"Well that's too bad, sweetheart. Because I'm not going to quit it." Lenna said with a smirk while lighting Alisa's cigarette.
