After Hailey and Jay got dressed, they decided to take Jay's car to the scene and the ride there had an awkward silence, at least for Hailey but not for Jay, he was starting to wonder why Hailey was acting really weird around him this morning.
The rest of the team were already on scene. Vanessa was waiting for Hailey to arrive near the police line as Kevin approaches her. "You know they're coming right," Kevin reassures Vanessa. She looks at him and says in a worried voice, "I know but she's never late and I'm just getting a little worried for her." Before Vanessa could get more worried about Hailey, she and Kevin saw Jay's car arriving.
When Jay's car parked, both the driver and passenger's door opened and Vanessa saw both Jay and Hailey get out which made all her worries fade away. "See, what I'd tell you," Kevin says, as Vanessa shakes her head at him and smiles. Vanessa was looking at Hailey and Jay walking towards them and says, "Lizzie's gonna love this," then she realizes that she said it out loud when Kevin says, "All we could do is imagine what they did." Vanessa looks at Kevin and asks, "You see it too?" Kevin smiled at her, "What, that," he says as he points at Hailey and Jay and continues, "It's like an open secret but they don't even know about it yet." They both laughed as Hailey and Jay arrives in front of them.
Hailey and Jay passed the police line and were met by Vanessa and Kevin. Hailey took one look at Vanessa and she could see her big smile, she knew what that meant and shakes her head while Kevin was looking at Jay also smiling. Even though they were at a crime scene, Vanessa and Kevin looked like little kids that just received the most exciting news of their life. "Where's the body," Hailey asks, bringing everyone back to reality. Vanessa's and Kevin's smiles disappeared and was replaced by a more serious look then they led the way to where the body was.
The team were now scattered around the crime scene, following proper procedures then Sgt. Voight looks up from what he was doing and sees Special Agent Jennifer Spencer entering the crime scene. Sgt. Voight then walks up to her, and as he got in front of her he was about to say something when Agent Spencer interrupts him and says, "Sergeant, the 'White Ghost' is reportedly in Chicago."
