Amber’s POV

I woke up Saturday with excitement looking over at my alarm clock I saw it was already 1:00 pm. I stood up from my bed and made my way down the stairs not caring what I looked like.

“Ahhh mom Amber has been selling her soul to the demons again.” Jake yelled as I came into the kitchen doorway.

“Dam the aliens haven’t collected you yet, mom I thought they said only 16 years?”

“Of course you would talk to aliens they are your only friends by the way.”

“No I just have enough practice because I live with you.” I grinned at him.

“Hey you….”

“Stop will you I really don’t want to have another headache today because of you guy’s” Mom intervened and I looked at Jake smiling at me because mom was looking at me.

“Sorry mom one look at Jake and you’re screwed for life.” I heard a deep laugh and looked at my dad who was watching us with amusement.

“Amber it’s one and your barley waking up.” He asked me when I looked at him.

“Oh yeah I was just really tired I stayed up late last night.”

“Tired my ass she wished beauty sleep would help her get prettier for her date tonight with Arson Bates.” I shot Jake a look when he mentioned Arson.

"Language" mom said looking at Jake.

“Uh it’s not a date were just friends he wants to take me to see a movie.”

“Oh you have a date sweetie why didn’t you tell us?” I shot mom an apologetic smile and then dad pitched in.

“I want to meet this boy Amber if that’s okay.”

“We are not going on a date and sure dad if you want to meet him he just has to be okay with it.”

“You’re going to see a movie?” Mom sweetly asked me.

“Yes we are.”

“Where?” I looked at dad because he asked me a question I didn’t know the answer to.

“I don’t know yet.”

“He’s probably going to take you somewhere to kill you I mean he is Arson Bates schools classified... ow” I kick Jake in the shin making him stop speaking.

“I’m hungry is anyone else?” I cut Jake off before he sets a bad image up for Arson well to my parents he already has one to the whole population of Healdsburg High.
