Amber's POV
I woke up on Saturday really early throwing up and my family was on me never leaving my side. I decided to go to the clearing that was about an hour away from town. When I arrived I saw the sun start to come up this sight always took my breath away I heard a twig snap and I looked back. There stood Arson Bates starring at me with wide eyes and holding a bottle of vodka in his hand.
"What are you doing here?" I was speechless I never thought anyone knew about this clearing it was blocked off from everyone that's why I liked it so much. I turned back around before answering his question making him face my back.
"Looking at the sunrise what are you doing here?" I don't here anything for a moment the feet started shuffling forward and I felt someone breathing on the back of my neck.
"Looking at a beautiful sight." I turned around and Arson's face was inches from mine and his eyes were trying to search for something in mines. I saw an unrecognizable emotion in his eyes and it stays there for a while before he takes his eyes off mine and out into the clearing. "It always was beautiful how did you find it I thought nobody knew about this place but me." I was about to tell him I found it after I drove up here trying to clear my mind from the new's I received last year but quickly lied.
"I found it last year when I was walking around out here how did you find it?"
"Same it was after a party out here in a cabin I was walking to try to find my car and I found this." He states while pointing his arm out showing me the clearing. I look at the bottle of vodka in his hands and look back into his eyes finding him already staring at me. Putting up the bottle to my face he starts talking "want a drink?"
"No thanks I don't drink and even if I did don't you think it's to early to drink I mean it's not even seven am." He raises his eyebrows then a smirk play's on his lips.
"Sorry I forgot nuns don't drink." I glare at him and he raises the bottle to his lips and takes a drink I frown while looking at him. He drops the bottle to his side and stares at me. "If your going to criticize me on my drinking why don't you just go." He looks a bit frustrated while starring at me but I hold his stare till his face softens.
"I'm not judging I was just wondering how you can take liquor like that isn't it really strong?" He looks confused for a second before answering me.
"You have never had a drink before have you."
"No I don't believe in the whole high school cliche of drinking and partying."
"Wow okay but don't you ever want to try it."
"Ya someday I have a bucket list and that's one of the activiies." I realize what I said and a blush creeps onto my face. He smiles at me a real genuine smile before he full on laughs and his laugh sounds smooth and soothing. "What?"
"You have one of those I thought those were no longer used." He said in between laughs.
"Ya I have one of those it's not like I'm actually going to do them but I have one." He stops laughing and looks at me with a serious face.
"I want to help you complete them."
"No way are you ever going to hear my bucket it list no it's to personal."
"Come on at least tell me how many you have to complete." I think it through before answering him.
"I have 10, 10 things I want to do."
"Okay well since drinking is one of them let's knock it down today what do you say."
"NO I have to drive back home and I can't be drunk while driving." He gives me a puzzled look like if telling me I'm stupid.
"You said you wanted a drink not to get full on drunk." I look at him before answering tilting my head a little.
"Aren't they the same thing I mean your still drinking." He smiles then chuckles before speaking again.
"God your so innocent, no they are not the same thing but we can still do it what time do you have to be back home?" I think about it for a moment I really don't want to go back home every one will be mentioning that things will get better and telling me how sorry they are and those words are overused so much not to mention a complete and utter lie.
"I don't have to go home for a while why?" He looks at me smirking.
"You Amb are about to get drunk." I stare wide eye at him I can't do it no I wont do it.
"No I told you.." He cut's me off mid sentence.
"I know what you said but the effects should be gone by the end of the day and we can watch the sun set come on."
"What about food and if we get hungry you can not take me anywhere and no you will not leave me here alone before you get any ideas."
"I have food don't worry it's not like were doing pot but I'm not going to leave you alone Amber never I promise." For some reason it sounded like the phrase he said held a double meaning to it. I sighed before nodding.
"Okay but I swear if I end up in a ditch or dead I will haunt you to the day you die."
"It will be an honor to be haunted by you Ms. Jensen." He smirked evilly as he handed me the open bottle of vodka. I took it out of his hands staring at it before looking at him in the eye. "Bottoms up."
"Ya bottoms up." I mumbled with that I tilted my head back drinking the context in the bottle. The burning sensation felt weird as I made a disgusted face at the taste. About to take another shot a hand grabbed the bottle and stopped me.
"Let's make this fun shall we." Arson stated as he held his signature evil smirk. I was so going to regret this.
