She Taught Me How to LOVE

Chapter 1

Arson's POV

I woke up to a really annoying beeping sound coming from my left side. Heaving a sigh I turned over and checked the time 6:00 am the danm thing read just great. I got up to head to the shower standing in front of the mirror admiring the work of art that was me. First day of senior year and my last year at the hell hole we call high school. It's not that I was bullied it was just the amount of work I had. If it was just to talk to friends I will gladly enter it with out swearing every minute. When I am done getting ready I knock on Emely's door to wake her up. You see Em's my 9 year old sister and she is the only women in my life who I will ever trust. Standing over her I shake her shoulder while she opens he eyes and closing them because of the light.  " Hey Em wake up." I tell her.

" Why it's so early."

"It's the first day of school Em and I have to get there on time to so get up and get dressed it's 6:35 and we leave at 7:10 I'll go make us a good bowl of cereal." I hear her laugh as I make my way out her door. When I go down the stairs I am automatically met with the stench of vodka. Of course I think to myself as I round the corner into the kitchen I see that my mom is passed out in middle of the living room. I stop in my tracks and contemplate going to wake her up. I decide to play the nice child and shake her "hey mom get up you passed out on the floor again." Automatically hands shoot out to grab my throat as she looks me dead in the eye with her blood shot eyes.

"Listen hear you little shit if you ever wake me up again I will personally kill you got it." She stands up and goes out of the room but not with out chucking the bottle at me. It misses and hit's the wall behind me causing glass to go everywhere.

"Great." I mutter while I see Em coming down the stairs looking a bit scared.

"Are you okay" she asks me.

"Ya I'm okay are you okay munchkin." She looks at me for a moment with a blank face then sticks her tongue out at me.

"I'm not short stop calling my that." I just chuckle while she goes into the kitchen leaving me to clean the mess of glass on the carpet. After sitting down with her and eating cereal we clean are teeth and make our way into the car. After dropping her off at Healdsburg Elementary I make my way to Healdsburg high school. I live in a small town in California where there is only three schools a pre-school, Elementary and a High school. Pulling up into the parking lot I see my reserved spot this is the only place in the world where I am king of it.

 Amber's POV

I woke up to the for school and did the same routine I had been doing for the longest time in this house. I wasen't complaining I loved this house it was big and I grew up in it. Making my way down stairs I heard laughter and talking my family was always up early. My family was made up of my mom, dad and a younger brother Jake. I stood at the door way to the kitchen while I observed my mom and dad talking looking at each other in a loving manner. Then I look over at Jake with a green face and horror struck written all over it. I steeped forward on the wood floor makings a noise and everyone had there head snapped up into my direction. My mom smiled sweetly at me. "Morning sweetie how did you sleep?" she as always was the first to speak. My dad would look at me like it was the last time I would ever walk into the kitchen. 

"Morning, I slept fine thank you." Everyone was silent not knowing what to say until Jake cleared hi throat and spoke.

"Well as much as hearing about Amber's fantasy boyfriend I really don't want to be late for school and get a detention on the first day so let go." I glared at him while I grabbed my bag an apple and my key's from the counter. Saying a quick bye to my parents we drove to school. When we were two minutes away Jake told me to stop the car.

" Why do you want me to stop."

"Because I want to walk to school from here it's my second year Amber I want to be known as cool and being with you throws me off a bit."

"Ouch fine but you find your own ride home."

"Wait hey no.." I drove away cutting the rest of his sentence off and pulling into the high schools parking lot. While making my way to my locker I saw a group of freshmen being led by some Juniors on the "Welcome to Hellsburg I mean Healdsburg High school." Walking down the hallway with my schedule in hand I make my way to my locker. I see Matt and Lily standing right next to me when there heads both look at me. They start smiling and waiving when all of a sudden I run into someone hitting there chest. Arms wrap around me as we both make are way onto the floor me landing on top. As I look down to see the other victim he was non other than Healdsburg bad boy Arson Bates. He glares for a moment before a smirk make his way onto his face.

" If you wanted to have sex with me you should have just said so you didn't have to capture me in the middle of the hallway." I looked at him in complete shock and my mouth hanging open till his words come into my brain making me furrow my eyebrows and a red face.
