Amber’s POV

“Amber are you sure you’re okay?”

“Yes Arson I’m okay I’ve been feeling sick I think I might just have a stomach flu.”

“Okay well I’ll see you at school on Monday.”

“Yeah okay see you then.” He leans and kisses my forehead his arms encircling me. I put my forehead against his and he kisses my nose.

“Bye” He breathes out.

“Bye” I repeat and he turns around going out the door. I stand at the door watching him get into his car. When he is halfway down the street Arson is looking at me through the rear view mirror as he drives. We stare at each other till he turns out of my view and I step back into the house closing the door. Turning around heading to the kitchen Jake is starring at me sitting on one of the stools.

“Amber”

“Don’t Jake no ok.”

“Amber we have to talk about this”

“Jake I said no okay nothing is wrong just let it go.”

“Fine Amber.” He said frustrated storming out of the room. Walking up to my room while I was deep in thought. What if it was back? No I would know it’s not.

The rest of the day was uneventful and so was Sunday. During the whole time Arson was calling me asking me how I was and if he can come over which my reply was no and that I needed time.

On Monday I wake up and follow the same morning routine felling much better. Going downstairs there are noises coming from the kitchen which consists of laughing and a different but familiar voice. I walk into the kitchen and see Arson sitting down around the kitchen table talking to my family and a plate in front of him. “Ah so the charming begins.” Everyone turns around to the sound of my voice and Arson made his way to me.

“You know me babe I have to charm everyone I meet.” He say’s slinging an arm around me and kissing my cheek. “You look better” he whisper and I shudder when I feel his breath right by my ear blushing because he probably saw the effect he had on me.

“By the way remind me to save as many people form your charm” I breathe out laughing a little and he smiles at my laugh. He joins in chuckling and then we stop and stare into each other’s eyes. I’m lost in his dark brown eyes and our faces get closer slowly. My dad clears his voice and were snapped out of our trance.

“Right so were going to go now Mr. and Mrs. Jensen can’t be late to school.” Arson says stepping away from me but still keeping his hold on me scratching the back of his neck a habit he has when he’s nervous. “Jake” he nods over to my brother who looks over at us with a mouthful of cereal. A bagel and a coffee are put in front of my face by Arson. “Breakfast to go and eat it.”

“Don’t tell me what to do.” I mumble and he chuckles kissing my forehead and grabbing my back pack.
