"Where's the confidence now?" asked Krish. This time his tone didn't have any malice or a taunt visible in it. It was a light question that he simply asked.

However, Radhika's gaze remained towards the floor.

"I'm not good with small talk," said Radhika softly.

Krish suddenly put his hand on her chin and lifted her face up. "You don't have to be. Don't be shy Radhika. Just be yourself."

There was a pause until he spoke up again, "Or should I call you Radha?" he asked and he suddenly pulled her close to him and she fell into his arms.

Radhika's breath hitched. She looked up at the guy in front of her. Astounded by his confidence, she took a moment to look into his face. His eyes showed what she wouldn't be able to decipher in a million years.

"Just saying, if you think this is flirting then you really are inept to relationships," said Krish teasingly. "If I was flirting with you, by now you would have been trying to get with me," he said arrogantly.

Radhika rolled her eyes and continued to dance with him.

"Why are you doing this What is the purpose of all this?" whispered Radhika.

Krish twirled her and pulled her even closer towards him so that they were only a couple inches away.

"I have a purpose in your life. And I'm not leaving without fulfilling it." he said whispering.

A purpose?

The rest of the dance class continued normally with Krish's flirty comments and Radhika's aloof behavior. She was finding it difficult to interact with him because of his charismatic behavior.

Radhika lied down on her bed. There were only a couple of hours until the music ceremony started as well as her performance. Her thoughts drifted and landed on a memory of the past.

"I hate that color!" exclaimed Arjun.

Radhika gasped. "But I love it! There's nothing better than white ethnic wear. Do you know what color is even better? Silver."

Arjun shook his head dismay. "This is going to get stained so fast. I seriously don't get the point of buying a traditional dress like this."

Radhika pouted and looked at him with a pleading look to try and get him to agree.

"I should've chosen a wife with the same taste," he said jokingly.

Radhika gaped at her husband and she turned around.

"What did you say?" she said horrified.

"What? No! I meant you look gorgeous but.."

Radhika picked up the pillow and threw it at her husband.

"What the hell? Ouch! No, stop..." cried her husband in feigning pain in his arm.

The couple ended up in fits of laughter as they landed on the bed.

Radhika gazed at the white dress she had picked to wear for the music ceremony. It was traditionally Indian and it reminded her of the fond memories she once shared with her husband. Even though he absolutely hated the dress.

Radhika sighed. She grabbed the dress and began to wear it while accessorizing herself with the jewelry and bracelets that matched with her outfit. Radhika grabbed her purse and bag and just as she was about to exit, a knock on her hotel room could be heard.

She went towards the door and opened it to find Nivedita. "Hey, Radhika. You are ready right?"

"Ready as I'll ever be."

Nivedita looked at her with soft eyes, "You don't have to do this you know. I can convince Shanaya because it's quite conspicuous that you don't want to participate in any wedding shenanigans. I know Shanaya can get carried away but.."

"No, no Nivi. Let's do this. Anyways, we are getting late, let's make an appearance."

•••

Radhika entered the wedding hall to find a lot of people staring at her. A lot of women were whispering. The mesmerizing girl that had entered the room was like none other than they had seen before. It was like Cinderella walked in and everybody was enamored by her presence.

"Man! She's hot." exclaimed one of the guys who was sitting at a table.

"Seriously though. Who is this chick?"

"Why the hell are they all looking at us?" asked Radhika nervously.

"Idiot, they are looking at you. You look hot," said Shanaya who had also made an entrance along with both of them.

"Yes yes, guys. Obviously, she is hot, after all, she is our friend," said Nivedita teasingly to the small crowd around them. The crowd let out a laugh and soon everyone dispersed after admiring the Radhika in her outfit.

"There's just one more person you have to impress," said Shanaya winking.

"Who?" asked Radhika.

Shanaya pointed in the direction of a guy who was standing, talking to one of his closest friends. More like his brother but as he felt someone pointing at him, he turned his gaze which landed on Radhika.

"Krish?" asked Radhika confused.
