"I am so sorry. Krish. I never intended for you to lose your happiness. I truly am sorry!" exclaimed Nisha as she was holding Krish's hand.

Krish paused for a while and didn't know what to say but then he followed up with an answer.

"Are you happy Nish? Are you satisfied? The love of my life is getting married to my brother. I didn't know you enjoyed seeing me in pain. I'll eventually forgive you because I don't like to start drama between both our families. But I'll never forget this Nisha!"

Just as Nisha was about to open her mouth, Krish looked at his phone and saw Radhika's name on his phone.

"Krish!" called someone.

"Coming," he responded as he withdrew himself from Nisha's embrace.

Sadness!

•••

Radhika looked at herself in the mirror and touched her face. From today onwards, the ceremonies were starting and she had to mentally prepare herself.

"This is wrong Radha!" yelled Nivedita.

"I refuse to attend your wedding if you get married to Shivaay," said Shanaya.

"You guys! Just support me, please. That's all I'm asking for."

"Radhika you love Krish and you can't deny this. The more you deny it, the more you'll be drawn to him. It is a fact."

"There are only a few more hours until the engagement ceremony. Meet him and figure something out."

Shanaya and Nivedita looked at each other.

"We'll make sure no one is at your house and we are sending Krish over and you both have to work something out," said Shanaya.

She high fived Nivedita and then gave instructions to Radhika. "Don't do anything wrong while we get Krish and please just stay at your house."

Radhika was about to argue back but Shanaya and Nivedita left the house and were going to put their first plan into action.

"Right now we are starting at zero. If this plan succeeds then we will have accomplished step one to stop this wedding," said Shanaya.

"All I can do is pray."

•••

"No I can't do this," yelled Krish.

"What do you mean? You love her and she loves you. What is the big issue here?" asked Shanaya.

"She should be willing to talk to me on her own and she hasn't even confessed to me yet." persisted Krish.

"Krish it will take ages for her to come around to that point. Just go and sort out your differences. There is still some hope left." pleaded Akaash.

"Fine. I'll do my best but I can't promise anything."

•••

Krish was shocked that when he arrived at her house, that her door was wide open. Anybody could just enter inside.

"How could Radhika be so careless?" he said mumbling. He then heard some off-tune singing and ventured inside the house further.

"Kriiiiish," said Radhika as she stumbled over to him, her speech fully slurred.

"Radha?" he said looking at her perplexed. "Are you drunk?"

"NOOOOOOOO.," she said yelling. "I'm just being a good friend to youuuu," she said giggling while she was holding the empty champagne bottle in her hand.

Krish didn't know what made him more frustrated. The fact that Radhika was now drunk so she wouldn't remember anything or the fact that she called him a friend.

"This is the duty of friendship. I should party since both of us are getting married. And two means that I should have two champagne bottles. Hold on one second I'll be right back." she said giggling while almost falling over

Krish grabbed Radhika's arm and pulled her towards him.

"We're friends?" he said. "Friends don't sit inside a kitchen and kiss each other Radha. We are much more than friends. Friends don't make huge amounts of food for each other and then proceed to feed each other. Friends don't feed each other ice cream at weddings or arrange blind dates for each other during a wedding. We love each other Radhika." said Krish.

"You have looooooost it," she said while spinning in circles. "You have gone cuckoooooooo," she said as she motioned to her head and insinuated that Krish had gone crazy.

"Why are you doing this Radha?" he said sadly.

"Because Arjun would want this and my family would be happy. Including my dad," she said pointing to the picture of him on the wall. "Plus it would finiiiish the rivalry between our mommies and make them besties," she said like a child.

"Lies. Arjun would want you to be happy. Can you spend the rest of your life without love?" Krish asked.

Radhika tripped and fell into his arms and she looked at him, her eyes half closing. Her fingernails clutched his shirt and she looked up into his eyes deeply.

"The engagement ceremony is today at your houuuuuseeee. I'll be there," she said before dozing off into his arms.

Plan one has failed.

•••

"I knew it! I knew one of you guys should have stayed back." groaned Shravan in frustration.

"Doesn't matter. We don't have time to make any more mistakes. Let's go. Guests have already started arriving and we wasted one day because Radhika got drunk while we went to go get Krish."

"I can't see her face when she puts the ring on Shivaay's finger," said Krish.

"Don't worry. You won't. Soon enough we will put an end to this nonsense." said Shanaya determined. "I made this bet with you but now I'm breaking one of the terms and conditions."

"Which one?"

"I'm going to help you win Radhika over."

People! I am back and I am alive. I'm not going to be fully active as I still have classes to attend. Updates will be fairly slow. I'm trying to catch up on people's stories/updates. Bear with me, this is going to be a long long process. I have a lot to write and a lot to read. New book coming, January 2021 maybe. No promises!
