As Radhika watched Kripa sign the termination letter and leave, Nisha asked a question.

"Why did you fire Kripa, ma'am?"

"And you ask this question because of what reason? Would you like me to fire you as well?" asked Radhika loudly.

The staff of the office gazed at Radhika in sheer fright. Nisha was practically shaking as Radhika pointed a finger in her face and looked at her with blazing eyes. The admonishing remark made the environment ignominious.

"Another rule of working here is that you never question the authority. Just do what I say!" barked Radhika aggressively as she walked away.

Radhika yelled again. "Where the hell is the interview that was supposed to happen at nine-thirty? It is already nine thirty-five! Send them to my office!"

Radhika burst into her office and sat down at her desk. She didn't necessarily receive any satisfaction by berating her employees. Yet she couldn't fathom a reason as to why she did it all the time.

The door squeaked open and Radhika didn't bother to look up.

"Sit," she said.

The person sat and she began to adjust her files and open her computer still not bothering to look at the person.

"What's your name?"

"As if you don't know?" asked the person mockingly.

That voice. It sounded familiar to her.

Radhika's head shot up as she looked Krish Malhotra in the eyes. Her eyes widened as big as saucers. "YOU?!" she screamed.

"Yes, me," said Krish calmly. "Drink some water. You look dehydrated," said Krish passing a glass to her.

Radhika stomped her foot in indignation. "Don't mess around with me! How the hell did you get here and how did you find out that I own this business? And also how did you quit your job?"

"Damn girl! So many questions huh? Are you a lawyer?" asked Krish mockingly.

Radhika eyed him and shook her head as she sat down. "Just cut me some slack and explain."

Krish started. "I'm not done with you yet. A hardworking and diligent dude like me deserves a higher place in your life than just an acquaintance at a wedding. Also, that's my dad's firm I work at. I can quit and join whenever." he said. He leaned closer and whispered in her ear.

"I'm not done with you yet."

He's back with a bang!

Radhika ended up hiring Krish anyways because she knew that Krish would continue to nag her if she didn't accept him in her store.

"There are different departments in the store. Vegetables and fruits, snacks, books, toiletries, alcohol, poultry, dairy, and then the bakery as well as the smoothie section. There are a lot of sections. I help out from time to time but also divide my work. Since I manage the finances of the company."

Krish nodded his head, taking the information in while observing his surroundings intently.

Radhika looked at him and paused. "I just returned to work after almost four years after Arjun's death. Don't expect to see me hanging around in the store much. I'll be managing the finances and extra business while talking with my committee and employees."

Krish raised his eyebrows. He pulled her towards him quickly and she let out a gasp. "Listen Arora. Just because you are sitting on a chair with a high tech laptop in front of you doesn't mean that me and you won't be seeing each other. I don't think a door can separate us." he said motioning to the door that divided the store and the office.

Krish dusted his hands as he let go of her arms as Radhika looked up into his face astonished. The feeling of shock ebbed into ambition.

He let go of Radhika and she looked up at his face.

"Game on." she retorted.

A Cutthroat business with ruthless people!

Nisha walked into her office and sat down at her desk. She looked up for a second to her boss's office and looked at her boss.

"Never met someone so unwelcoming and aloof. Almost as if she woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Nisha muttered. Nisha stared and saw that there was a guy sitting across Radhika in a chair.

They were discussing something while Radhika was handing him some papers. Nisha stood up and ran into Radhika's office. She looked the guy in the face and jumped up and down in excitement.

"Krish," Nisha said excitedly while ruffling his hair.

Krish looked up and his eyes brightened as he looked at Nisha. "Nish!" he exclaimed as he flung his arms around her and hugged her super tightly. They both clung onto each other and then proceeded to do a multistep handshake.

"You applied for a job here?" asked Krish.

"Yup! I'm Radhika's personal assistant. What about you?" Nisha asked.

"Here to help her out a little," Krish said and turned to smirk at her.

Radhika stood up and glared at both of them. "You both are friends?" Radhika asked irked.

"Friends? We are everything to each other! We've known each other since childhood. I've gone to school with Krish, helped him study, beat him up, and also I've..."

"I asked for a short explanation. Not your life story. Otherwise, I would have contacted your parents or gotten a hold of your resume." Radhika said scathingly.

Krish opened his mouth to retort to Radhika's full-fledged insult but Nisha kicked Krish and shook her head as if to revoke him from saying anything.

"Basically. We are best friends," said Krish summing up Nisha's jabber.

"Fine with me. However, this display of affection is completely inappropriate and I hope that this friendship of yours will not come in the way of work. Am I clear?" asked Radhika sternly.

"Done." both of them said.
