Chapter 36

"Hi," Krish whispered to Radhika.

"Hi," she said whispering back shyly as she looked down at the floor.

"Are you ready?" he asked her and nudged her shoulder.

"Most definitely," she said nodding her head.

"Remind me why we are acting as if we have never met each other," he said laughing.

"I don't know. Maybe it is just because I'm getting married again... I feel nervous," she said.

The stage was no longer crowded as people had moved off after the bride had made her entrance. Soon people would venture up to the stage to get photos clicked with the good looking couple.

"I feel like this has all been so good," he said.

Shanaya walked up to the stage and nudged Krish.

"Lovebirds! The ring ceremony should start in a couple of minutes. Be ready for some huge celebration." said Shanaya.

"Got it," said Radhika.

"It was just yesterday that I was engaged and that both of you were going to meet at the dance studio for your blind date," said Shanaya with tears in her eyes.

"You are talking as if you are fifty years old sis," said Krish laughing.

"I'm still young," said Shanaya punching Krish on the shoulder.

They all cracked up and then Shanaya proceeded to leave them alone so they could have some private time.

Everyone was crowded on the stage to see Radhika and Krish get engaged. A box of sweets was already in Nivedita's hands as she watched Krish pluck the solitaire diamond ring and slide it up her finger.

Radhika looked up at Krish and she beamed at him as she picked his ring up from her mom's hands. Krish looked down and watched her slide the ring on his finger.

"YAYYYY!" screamed Shanaya as she jumped on the stage. Shravan was trying to calm her down.

Nivedita wiped her face with the tears that were streaming from her eyes. Akaash was pulling a tissue out from his pocket and handing it to her, she blew her nose in the tissue and wiped her eyes.

Nisha excused herself from the scene and Shivaay followed her but congratulated his brother before leaving. Krish looked at both of them guilty and then looked at Radhika who was busy hugging her mom.

Neelima swallowed her pride and looked at Radhika and only gave a half-smile while hugging her son.

"Congrats baby! I'm so happy for you," said Supriya kissing her daughter and then turning to Krish.

"God bless you, dear," she said as she touched the top of his head. "Please keep her happy."

"Always," he said smiling.

After the engagement, guests started crowding around the food table and piling food on their plates.

"I need some food," mumbled Krish.

Radhika nodded in agreement. "I don't know when this photo session is going to end," she said gritting her teeth in irritation.

Although there were guests taking photos with Radhika and Krish, many of them kept coming up to the stage just to crowd around them and congratulate them.

"Just try to stay calm Radha," said Krish lovingly.

Radhika smiled fondly at Krish and soon the photos wrapped up and they got down from the stage and headed towards the tables so they could sit down and eat.

Shanaya brought Radhika a plate of samosas and a glass of juice to go along with it while Shravan brought Krish a chicken dish to get started with.

Radhika looked at the ice cream and she remembered the bet Krish had proposed where she had to feed him ice cream in front of the whole dinner gathering.

Krish held up the spoon and handed it to her. "Would you like to do the honors Radha?"

Radhika picked the spoon up and grinned, "Thought you would never ask."

She picked up the spoon and put it in his mouth and they both smiled and she kept feeding him while he also fed her the samosas and made her drink the glass of juice.

"Finally," whispered Shanaya to Nivedita.

"I know. I'm nervous about how she's going to be treated considering Krish's mother," said Nivedita.

"She'll warm up to Radhika. How can someone dislike the girl? She's no less than an angel."

Eventually!

"I am not dancing," said Radhika complaining as everyone was crowded around her trying to persist in her dancing.

"Come onnnn! It is just slow dance. Plus you all are a couple of the evening. If you don't dance then who will?"

Krish looked at her and tilted his head cutely and nodded his head as he tried to persuade her.

"Okay fine," she said.

The lights dimmed which caught everyone's attention. Suddenly, the silhouettes of Radhika and Krish popped up on the stage. The music started to play and they both started their dance-off very slowly.

As his hands wrapped around her waist and her hands went around his neck, they started to dance and the steps were tremendous. He lifted her in the air in which the crowd went wild and everyone whistled.

Krish brought her back down and he spun her around and then soon enough she was in his arms and tilted her downwards. He brought her back up and her hand instantly picked her up bridal style and spun her around.

Before they knew it, the lights went back on, and then the DJ made an announcement.

"While we are still getting over that riveting performance from our bride and groom, couples are allowed to go to the dance floor and slow dance with their partners. Krish and Radhika are welcome to join." said the DJ winking.

The couples walked towards the dance floor and suddenly Radhika got flashbacks of their blind date.

"Be yourself."

"You are inept to relationships. If I was trying to get with you, you would have fallen for me by now."

Radhika wondered what memorable words Krish would say to her on the day of their engagement day.
