Chapter 24

"When is the afterparty?" asked Krish.

"You get no afterparty. Our date is tomorrow and me baking and actually doing stuff should be enough for you. You should be thankful otherwise I never put this much effort into doing this for anyone."

"Why specifically me then?" smirked Krish.

"You better focus at the task at hand or.." threatened Radhika.

Krish and Radhika had met today at Nirvana to discuss plans for the rebranding event which was today. Last-minute errands were being wrapped up.

"I hope my performance and speech goes well today. I can't believe you are making me speak at today's event," whined Krish like a child.

"Only because you nearly saved my company from a financial crisis. Who knew that you had such a good sense of money alongside being a lawyer? I know you won't be working for me anymore after this rebranding event." said Radhika softly.

Krish had decided to go back to the law firm after the event but tonight they were going to give it their one hundred percent.

"I should go. I have to start getting ready, the event is only in two hours," said Radhika panicking.

Krish placed both his hands on Radhika's shoulders. "It is going to go great Radha. You are going to do so well. I have faith in you."

Radhika felt a spark of joy when Krish placed his hands on her shoulders. She put her hands on top of his hands and suddenly she couldn't control. She wrapped her arms around his torso. Radhika felt the shock that Krish was feeling but he slowly also reciprocated.

Nisha watched the couple from afar and let out a shaky breath.

Shivaay looked at his watch and then looked at Shanaya.

"Why is mom taking so long?" asked Shivaay to his sister in law.

Shanaya rubbed her hands anxiously. She knew Akaash had gone inside Radhika's mother's house along with Neelima because Shravan couldn't accompany his mother.

"What are they even discussing? We were supposed to plan for Krish's party. He's joining the firm and quitting Nirvana. Ever since mom found out that he worked for Radhika Arora's company, she said that he must immediately come back to the firm."

"It was also Krish's choice." said a voice. It was Neelima who was now exiting Supriya's house.

"Really?"

"Yes. He is a lawyer and working in a failed company is not his job," said Neelima.

"Glad you are already defending Radhika!" said Shivaay sarcastically.

"You'll see soon enough," said Neelima, smiling.

Shanaya looked at her mother in law suspiciously and then opened her phone to contact Nivedita.

"We have another problem on our hands. I think Neelima just finalized Shivaay and Radhika's relationship."

Radhika straightened her dress and looked at herself in the mirror. She hooked her earrings on and looked at her hair and looked at herself.

"Radhika, are you ready?" asked Krish as he adjusted the tie on his suit.

"Coming!" she called back.

She stepped out of the women's bathroom and he suddenly turned his head. His eyes softened and his heat began to thud as he looked at the woman in front of him. People gasped around Krish.

"Is that Radhika Arora?" whispered someone.

"Yes! She is dressed up for her event today and is going to make an entrance with Krish Malhotra."

"Krish Malhotra? The lawyer who works at Malhotra associates? The four brothers, Shravan, Akaash, and Shivaay and Krish work there I think."

"Yes, but he quit helping Radhika Arora with her business. I don't know why though. No one knows the backstory or the intricate details."

Krish walked up to Radhika and he tilted his head and looked at her which made Radhika blush and look down at her feet.

"You look.." he trailed off because he had no words.

"Beautiful." said someone else completing the sentence behind Radhika and Krish.

Krish turned around and came face to face with his brother Shivaay. Radhika looked surprised to see him here and smiled slightly.

"Shivaay? What are you doing here?" asked Krish.

"Mom sent me here to watch your speech and I have to take you back home after the event ends."

Krish rolled his eyes and mentally cursed his fate.

I wanted to spend some reclusive time with my crush but of course, Shivaay has to come! There is no way mom told him to come here, he lied.

Shivaay stepped forward and kissed Radhika's hand. "You look stunning Radha."

Radhika smiled lightly and nodded her head as if to acknowledge the compliment. Krish closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead in agitation. "Shivaay, Nisha will show you the way. I need to discuss some last-minute details with Radhika."

"But Krish I.."

"Nisha! Shivaay is here. Show him to a seat." said Krish pushing him out of the room.

Radhika snickered and also started thinking in her head.

Is he jealous?

Radhika gushed mentally and looked into the face of Krish. She walked by and whispered in his ear.

"You look handsome," she whispered.

Krish closed his eyes and felt shivers go up to his spine. He then smirked and then yanked her by her waist to which she gasped.

"Krish! Someone could come in." she hissed.

"Let them."

Radhika shook her head and adjusted his tie. She then got out of his grip and suddenly held his hand.
