Krish and Radhika looked at each other smiling as they held the flower garlands and were going to try and put them on each other.
"Not so fast!" yelled Shravan as he picked his brother up along with Shivaay and Akaash.
"Don't worry! Our best friend isn't giving in so fast," said Shanaya as she motioned to Nivedita and Nisha to come over and pick Radhika up.
"Dude you are so heavy. What the hell did you eat?" complained Nivedita.
"Nivedita.." hissed Radhika as she motioned to her to shut up.
Everyone suppressed their laughs and lowered the bride and the groom to the ground.
"It is time for the seven vows." said the priest. "The groom can go first and the bride can stand behind."
Radhika closed her eyes and sighed letting out a breath she was holding, she grabbed Krish's hand and walked around the fire.
Krish squeezed Radhika's hand and pulled her closer as they both walked around the fire. Soon enough, Radhika moved in front and she walked around the fire.
"You are now husband and wife. Please sit down." said the priest.
Newly married!

Shanaya welcomed her brother in law and new sister in law inside their house. Neelima blessed both kids and hugged her son while kissing Radhika.
"I'm sorry Radha," said Neelima apologizing. "I shouldn't have held a grudge against you because of a bitter past with your mother."
Radhika hugged her mother in law back and responded, "It is fine. We all make mistakes and say stupid things in the heat of the moment."
Shravan wiped fake tears off his face and Shanaya bit her lip to hold in laughter while Shivaay commented on the apology his mother made.
"Best mother in law and daughter in law duo," he remarked.
Everyone started laughing as Shanaya grabbed Radhika's hand and started leading her to Krish's bedroom.
"Krish! Hold up. Someone wanted to talk to you quickly before you go inside." said Akaash.
Nivedita walked inside and behind her was Nisha. Krish gazed at her and smiled as she waved at him.
"I was planning on talking to you anyways. I had to apologize," said Krish.
Everyone dispersed the room, giving the best friends privacy to speak and reconcile while Shanaya was showing Radhika around the house and telling her everything she needed to know.
"I'm sorry Nish. Maybe if I wasn't so absorbed in my world, I would have known about your feelings and then we could have talked it out like two mature adults."
"It is okay Krish. I never told you. It is wrong of me to expect you to understand what I was feeling. Maybe if I clarified my thoughts and emotions, things would have changed. But let's let bygones be bygones. There is no need to dwell on the if's." said Nisha wisely.
Krish nodded at her and Nisha continued. "I had news for you."
"What?"
"Shivaay and I like each other and we started dating. We are taking things slow and steady because of me but I felt like you should know."
"That is so great. Nish, congrats! I am so happy for you." said Krish hugging Nisha again.
"Krish!" called out Shanaya.
"Yes?"
"I don't mean to interrupt you but.." Shanaya trailed off and pointed towards the door of his room smiling.
Krish understood the message and Nisha motioned for him to go.
Wedding night!
•••
Radhika stood at the dresser, she took off her earrings and her veil. She started removing her nose ring when the door of the bedroom opened.
Her head turned and she saw Krish, he was gazing back at her intensely. She looked back at herself in the mirror and continued acting as if she was occupied with her jewelry. As Radhika was almost done removing all her ornaments, she turned around and backed into the dresser, her back hitting the mirror.
Krish had one hand on the wall, trapping her on either side. He raised his eyebrows at her and she gazed back at him, her breathing erratic and her heart thumping furiously.
"My dress," she whispered.
"What?" he asked huskily.
A thread of Radhika's wedding gown was stuck onto his tunic. Krish pulled Radhika closer by encircling a hand around her waist. As he got the thread out, his hands went to the flowers in her hair and he unwrapped them as she closed her eyes and her hands were on his shoulders.
A sigh escaped Radhika's lips and she bit her lip as Krish's hands shifted from her hair to her face, cupping her cheeks. His lips grazed over hers and she clutched his shoulders even harder for support.
And before both of them knew it, they were kissing. His hands played with her hair which was undone. Her hands flung around his neck and she pulled him closer to feel his lips even better.
"I'm glad you're happy." he said as they broke apart for air.
"And I'm glad we are married."
They both were laying down on the bed and Krish shut the lamp off as his hand reached for the strings of Radhika's blouse, as she kissed him.
