Chapter 29

"I don't know what the hell to do." cried Shanaya over the phone. "I need to speak to Krish because the entire plan is practically flopping and he must be so stressed."

"You do one thing! Talk to Krish and I'll talk to Radha."

"We need to do something fast. I don't want Shivaay to get married to Radha."

"So you are thinking exactly what I am?"

"I think so."

"We have to stop this wedding at any cost." both girls repeated to themselves.

A race against time!

"Radhika, don't do this unless you are sure," said Nivedita. "I can see it in your eyes, You clearly don't want to get married to Shivaay."

"Shivaay and I have been meeting and we are pretty compatible. Anyways I think maybe I should go for an arranged marriage again. We all saw what happened as the result of me getting a love marriage."

"Radha. Love is love! It is not like you are cursed where if you get married through a love marriage and that you'll lose that person again. And besides, love and arranged are just some stupid labels. What matters is the two people in that relationship. Radhika, you've fallen in love and you need to accept it."

Radhika sighed and shook her head.

"Fine. I've always been understanding but this time I'm not letting this happen. You may give up but there is one person who won't." said Nivedita.

"Who?"

"Krish."

"How did you two meet?" asked Krish looking at Shivaay.

"I set them up." said a voice.

Nisha walked in and stood next to Shivaay. Krish looked shocked and distraught at the same time.

"Nish! Why? And how?"

"Because... She was getting irritated with your childish antics at work. To distract her, I introduced her to Shivaay with the permission of her mom."

"Supriya aunty allowed this?" asked Krish incredulously.

"Yes! She thought it would be harmless. Shivaay and Radhika went out a few times and Radhika talked to him over the phone. She didn't want to continue the relationship for some weird reason but when the proposal came from Neelima aunty to Supriya aunty, then Supriya aunty asked Radhika and she approved. For what reasons she approved, you need to ask her."

"And I have another thing to confess. Yes, I was involved in all these plans and I did this because I've been in love with you since childhood. I've been in love with you since day one and it hurts that you don't show it back. However, I am by your side. I acknowledge and respect that you love someone else."

Krish ran up the stairs and closed the door to his bedroom.

"Why didn't you guys tell me about all of this earlier?" asked Shravan yelling.

"Shravan please don't blame Krish. I was the one who made the condition not to tell the family." pleaded Shanaya

"And why is that?" he asked looking at his wife.

"Because we all knew you would react this way," said Akaash walking in.

"The hell I would.."

Before anybody could say anything, Nivedita burst inside the room trying to catch her breath because she had been sprinting.

"And where have you come from?" asked Shanaya.

"Radhika's house," she said while Akaash was pouring water for her in a glass.

Everyone stood up and Krish got up so fast and walked over to Nivedita expecting some kind of good news.

"I'm sorry Krish but she's still firm on her decision about getting married."

Krish's shoulders slumped but Nivedita put her hand on his shoulder and patted him as if to comfort him.

Shanaya suddenly stood up. "I think there is a lot that has been going in the past few months. We've all hid stuff and it is time we come clean about what has been going on."

Shanaya explained the deal that she and Krish made during the wedding and Akaash and Nivedita also came clean about their relationship. Krish explained what had been going on at Nirvana. How he and Radhika had been fighting and then soon he developed a liking for her.

"Did she ever confess to you?" asked Nivedita.

"Not exactly but it's just obvious that she feels something and she just.."

"Doesn't want to admit it," said Shanaya, completing Krish's sentence.

"How exactly do you know all this?" asked Shravan.

"We have known Radhika for so long. She changed herself from top to bottom after Arjun's death and she also has a habit of doing shit like this. Pulling herself away from people and restricting herself from love. These are all typical Radhika things." said Shanaya.

"I've been trying to instill confidence in her but it didn't work. I just came back from her place vowing that I'll make this wedding stop before she can even reach the altar."

"WHAT." yelled everyone as they looked at Nivedita.

"How are we supposed to do that?" asked Akaash looking at the floor.

"We all have to team up to stop this wedding. As a family. Shravan, Akaash, Nivi, Krish. We can't tell Shivaay or Radhika about our plans to halt this wedding but we have to come up with a consecutive plan to make Radhika realize her feelings properly for Krish." exclaimed Shanaya.

"I agree. We need to put a stop to this madness. Still really mad about that fact that Shivaay was meeting Radhika behind my back." grumbled Krish.

"Whatever happened has happened. Let's focus on what we need to next. Tomorrow is the music ceremony. That is one day to execute a plan!" said Shravan.

"Let's do this!" they all yelled.
