Krish banged the door of the elevator. "Listen, whoever you are, it is going to be fine. Help is on the way!"
"Krish?!" yelled Radhika from inside the elevator. She suddenly felt a sense of relief wash over her.
"Radhika? Are you okay?" asked Krish worriedly.
"No.," said Radhika. She started to cry and Krish's heart softened.
"Listen. Try to breathe okay! Do you have water inside your purse?"
"Yes," said Radhika. She took a few sips and put it on her lap.
"Radha," he whispered.
Radhika's heart fluttered and she closed her eyes as goosebumps appeared on her skin. When he called her 'Radha', a flame ignited within her.
"Will someone please fix this goddamn thing?! I've been waiting for almost two hours," said Krish bluffing.
He had only been standing there for almost less than ten minutes but if Radhika stayed in there for longer, he would lose it.
Radhika looked down at her lap and let out a laugh. Krish heard the laugh and his lips curved upward hearing it.
"Be honest. You have only been standing there for only a few minutes haven't you?"
Krish's cheeks turned red and he looked the other way. He bit his lip to control himself from saying anything he would regret.
"How was the bathroom?" asked Radhika sniffling.
"Fine. You may need a new sink, I messed around with the plumbing," he said.
"You are such a monkey," said Radhika annoyed.
"Only for you," he said playfully.
Radhika blushed and started to feel her breathing fail her again because her thoughts drifted back to the fact that she was in the elevator.
"Krish. I can't breathe." Radhika said huffing.
"Listen I know I take your breath away but at least don't.." said Krish teasingly.
"Krish... I'm not..." she said, unable to complete her sentence.
"Breathe slowly and deeply. Focus on something safe," said Krish advising Radhika.
Radhika closed her eyes and imagined herself safe in the comfort of her room and to her shock, she imagined Krish right next to her with her head on his shoulder while he was holding her in his arms.
The door suddenly opened and she looked at Krish in front of her eyes. He was holding out his hand and motioned for her to come closer. Radhika saw Krish's face and the look on his face calmed her.
Radhika grabbed his hand and threw her arms around him as she let out a strangled sob. She began to whimper and finally, she started to fully sob, wetting the fabric of Krish's clothes. His hands wrapped around her waist and he squeezed her tight.
Krish closed his eyes when hearing her sobs and it caused his chest to constrict when he heard her sobbing. He rubbed her back to comfort her and pulled a water bottle out of his pocket and handed it to her.
She refused to drink out of it and began to talk, "My apartment is right there, we can walk over there."
He nodded his head and on instinct, he wrapped his arm around her and she let out a gasp when she felt his touch. Hesitantly but surely, she took a step forward and grabbed his hand, and began to walk towards her apartment.
They reached the front door in no time and she unlocked the door. Krish patted her on the shoulder and waved goodbye to her without vocalizing the fact that he really liked her and wanted her to just be okay.
As he was about to leave, Radhika stopped him. "Wait!" she cried out.
Krish turned around and faced her.
"Why don't you stay the night?"

Neelima sat opposite Shivaay.
"He quit the firm?" she asked him.
"Yes. You know Radhika?"
"Kavita Arora's daughter? The one who I caught with Krish. She was in his bed." said Neelima as she let out a derisive snort.
"You said you had forgiven her already?" asked Shivaay pleadingly.
"Yes yes. I'm sorry. I just forget sometimes." said Neelima nodding her head.
"I think he is falling in love with her at work," said Shivaay. "I observe him all the time. He's distracted, flirts with her, goofs around and even quits his high paying job to work for her."
"I don't know what I am supposed to do Shivaay! He is very obstinate and if I ask him to quit his job there then he will not listen to me."
"What about Nisha?" asked Shivaay.
"What about Nisha?" asked Neelima confused.
"Cmon mom! You know that Nisha has been in love with Krish forever. And if Krish continues to fall in love with Radhika even more then he will get even more distracted."
"You're right! But what should I do?" asked Neelima.
"Talk to Nisha's mom and arrange for her and Krish to get married," suggested Shivaay.
