Chapter 32

Radhika couldn't smell any smoke nor any fire. She had decided to go back inside the house to figure out what was going on. She squinted her eyes suspiciously around the house and investigated her surroundings. She went inside the basement and coughed as she looked around the dusty shelves.

She then proceeded to go look at the fire alarm settings and that's when she realized.

There was no fire. Someone had purposely set off the smoke alarms and has instigated the fear that there was fire in the house.

"This has to be Krish." she mumbled. She pressed a couple buttons and the obnoxious ringing of the fire alarms stopped and she sighed in relief.

"Are you out of your mind?!" yelled a voice behind her.

Radika turned around to see Krish.

The lovers unite!

Shivaay had picked up on the hints. He wasn't stupid and he definitely couldn't ignore the Radhika's strange behavior. The concern she displayed for Krish and the constant timid and quiet behavior around him was a sign.

Shivaay had figured out that Radhika loves Krish and the same goes for his elder brother.

He had a plan in mind that might upset his loved ones but he knew it was for the best. In that way, no one's life would be ruined and no one would be upset. He looked around the house and realized also that Krish had gotten to Radhika first because he could hear their voices around the corner in the basement.

Shivaay left the house and walked back outside where his mother was in tears and she wiped Shivaay's face from the dust and checked him all over. He broke free from his mom's grasp and headed over to where his brothers and sister in law were standing.

"I know what you guys are up to." said Shivaay crossing his arms.

"What are you doing here?" asked Radhika.

"Looking for you." said Krish.

"Why Krish? I am about to be your brother's wife." cried Radhika. "It is wrong to just go looking for me. We are just friends and now we are going to become family. You have to stop looking at me like that." said Radhika turning around and facing the wall.

"You can't even look at me for god's sake! How are you going to even get married to my brother in this case?" said Krish.

"I will. I will prove myself and I will marry your brother."

Krish walked up to her and pushed her and pinned her up against the wall.

"You can deny it all you want but I swear to you that you will break on the day of the wedding. You won't be able to walk around that fire and make vows to Shivaay. Because inside your head, all you are going to see is my face, the way I look at you, what happened between us in the kitchen.."

"THAT WAS A MISTAKE." yelled Radhika. "That was just a mistake and it was just in the heat of the moment."

Krihs looked at her aghast. "You can't just call what happened between us mistake." he whispered dangerously.

Radhika pushed Krish off of her and she pointed her chin up and shook her head.

"You entering my life was a mistake." she said trembling. She walked up the stairs and her footsteps were slow and then fast as she ran up the stairs.
