"Thank god you're okay, San." Hongjoong said, watching San wake up from his deep sleep.
"What happened?" San asked as he started to wake up more.
"Your stitches broke open and the doctor had to seal them up again. You are cuffed to the bed so you can't move and break them open again." Hongjoong reminded him quietly and San suddenly remembered, remaining quiet about the situation.
Hongjoong was about to say something, but when he looked up he noticed tears falling from the younger's eyes.
"Aw, don't cry San." Hongjoong begged, suddenly at his side and giving him a loving hug.
"He didn't even say that he loved me, Joongie. What did I possibly do wrong?" San sobbed, his tears falling onto Hongjoong's shoulder, making his shirt slightly damp.
"You didn't do anything wrong, Sannie. It's just Wooyoung. He needs some time. He has been through a lot of trauma." Hongjoong explained, rubbing San's back in small circles.
"I just want my parents back." San cried out and Hongjoong knew what he had to do.
"I'm gonna step out of the room for a second, okay Sannie?"
San nodded and wiped the fallen tears from his cheeks, even though he was shedding more tears.
Hongjoong stepped out of the room for a minute and closed the door behind him, pulling his phone out from his back pocket in his jeans.
He quickly dialed a number, the phone ringing on the other side of the line.
"Hello?"
"Seonghwa, I need you to come to the hospital. It's about San."
"I will be right there." Seonghwa replies quickly before hanging up and rushing over to the hospital.
"Is he okay?" Seonghwa asked and Hongjoong shrugged.
Seonghwa could see the tears welding up in his eyes and gave him a hug.
"What's wrong?"
"I just feel like I've failed as a friend." Hongjoong broke down in tears, Seonghwa guiding him to a seat outside of San's hospital room.
"No no, baby. Why do you say that?" Seonghwa asked curiously and Hongjoong sniffed before answering the question.
"I was never there for Wooyoung when he needed me. I didn't know that he was suicidal. And something has happened to him and he told me that he didn't feel ready to explain what happened to me yet."
