BTS' Residence
"Whoaaa Yoongi, what's with your face?" asked Jin as he saw Yoongi emerging from his side of the room. Jin and Yoongi were roommates with a rack dividing their respective space. They were about to leave for the photoshoot when Jin saw the red mark on Yoongi's face. It was not visible from far but noticeable as he went nearer.
"Some after effects of getting the wrong substance on the face," said Yoongi lightly.
"Skincare product that didn't go well?" dug Jin.
"Not exactly skincare," dodged Yoongi as he took a bottle of coffee from the refrigerator.
"How bad? I didn't see that when we had dinner last night," pondered Jin.
"It happened after," Yoongi said as they exited the house. The rest of the guys already went earlier, and Jin and Yoongi were sharing the ride for that day. "Does it look bad?" asked Yoongi as he turned on the camera on his phone, inspecting his face. It was a bit splotchy on his temple and a small part of his cheek, other than that, he looked fine.
"It's not that obvious, but the make-up artist would have to conceal it really well. It will be bright during the photoshoot," said Jin as he peered on Yoongi's face. "Which product did you use? I'll have it in mind next time I go out buying," said Jin with concern.
"Don't worry, you won't see it on the skin product shelf," waved Yoongi as he kept his phone in his pocket.
"What makes you so sure of it?" Jin asked again as Yoongi slouched down getting comfortable as he was closing his eyes.
"You will never see capsaicin in the ingredients list," he replied, dozing off.
"Okay," replied Jin as he looked outside the window. Jin's mind was racing. The name sounded familiar. He kept on thinking until it hit him. "Capsaicin?!" exclaimed Jin. Yoongi just put his index finger up signaling Jin to keep quiet and pointed to their manager who was driving the car. Jin was about to burst the whole way to the photoshoot venue as Yoongi stayed silent, napping. As they reached the place, Jin went asking Yoongi in his hushed voice, "How the heck did you get chilli on your face? Where did you go after we ate? I came home earlier than you did but you were out way before me. Come to think of it, the mark looks peculiar. Like someone splashed something on you."
"It was an accident," said Yoongi.
"Don't give me half-truths or I'll hound you until I get all the answers," warned Jin.
"I was pepper-sprayed by mistake. That's all," Yoongi concluded as they went to greet the photographer in charge. Jin was stunned and Yoongi knew he would have to explain to Jin when they had the time.
If Jin remembers it.

Jae's Room
The editing and final touch up of the reel took hours that Jae managed to send it at exactly 7:58 a.m. She didn't change her clothes when she reached her room and dove straight to her workstation. It housed her laptop, headphone, the audio interface, a mini keyboard and her prized Maschine MK2. The Maschine was an old one, which she bought when she was in the States 5 years back and since she lives in the non-soundproofed gosiwon, it was pointless to use a speaker. She had an 88 keys digital piano which was placed under her bed, and using it would require a major reshuffling of her belongings.
She had been re-doing the track and editing the reel countless of time that her was hair sticking out from the constant pulling and scratching throughout the process. She was glad she still has her hair when she finished her songs. Chin-Hwa oppa always called her Einstein when she got into her work mode. Not as a compliment but it was more due to how she would look like when she got into the zone.
