They just had their dinner and Yoongi drove them straight to a venue that made Jae's heart danced happily.
"Basketball. We're going to play basketball?" asked Jae giddily with her hand on Yoongi's hand on the gear shift, looking at the building in front of her. "When did you arrange for this? I know we didn't make any plan for playing."
"I made some calls when you were napping. This court is available tonight, so here we are," he turned off the engine and went out, opening Jae's side of the door. He held his hand out, "Let's shoot some hoops."
"I haven't played in years," she said as they walked to the entrance. "Is it okay for us to be together here?" she asked.
"Let me worry about that. I just want you to enjoy yourself," Yoongi reassured her. "Hey Hyun Woo-ssi! How are you doing?" greeted Yoongi to a man at the counter inside the building with a pound hug.
"Doing good! You're lucky we're clear for tonight," Hyun Woo said. "And who might this pretty lady be?" he smiled.
"She's off limits and stop flirting. Man, you never change," commented Yoongi. "Jae, meet Baek Hyun Woo. We're classmates in high school and Hyun Woo, meet Ahn Jae Hwa. My girlfriend," introduced Yoongi.
"Pleased to meet you Baek-ssi," said Jae, nodding her head.
Hyun Woo's eyes went big in response. "Your girlfriend, wow, really?"
"Really," confirmed Yoongi.
"Aw man, I'm happy for you," Hyun Woo patted Yoongi's back. "If you want any dirt on him in high school, just call me up. You won't believe what he did back then. He's the savage king of the school," offered Hyun Woo jokingly.
"You're no angel either," Yoongi shot back.
"He made some girls cry. He actually told one of the girls to transfer to another school because she was a distraction," divulged Hyun Woo. Yoongi kicked Hyun Woo in response but Hyun Woo moved in reflex before Yoongi's foot made contact.
"What kind of distraction?" Jae asked Hyun Woo, but her eyes were locked with Yoongi's.
"You can ask him yourself," said Hyun Woo slyly.
"Damn, I should have known you're gonna pull that one out. I was doing you a favor back then."
"Do explain, Min Yoongi-ssi," said Jae sounding extremely nice. Her tone was chilling.
"That girl sent me flowers and stuff and this guy here had a huge crush on her. Her stuff kept on coming at a wrong time and it was a distraction. That was what I meant," he explained.
"Really? Being called a distraction is actually a cool backhanded compliment anyone could get. It meant the person's way too attractive," said Jae, still with an ice cold tone.
"I didn't mean it as a compliment," replied Yoongi and Jae just looked at him, not convinced.
"Don't worry. He got the girls' attention but he responded to none. I can vouch for him on that," assured Hyun Woo.
"And I wonder why didn't you say that in the first place," said Yoongi dryly. "Everything's ready?" he asked.
"Yes, you go on ahead. Since you requested for less staff tonight, you have to pick up the balls by yourself after you're done. I'm not up for collecting all of those for you," said Hyun Woo.
"Heh, since when didn't I do my own clean up?" retorted Yoongi.
"Just saying," Hyun Woo grinned. "Go ahead and enjoy your game."
"It's Kim Min Young thing all over again," said Jae as they went to the basketball court. "Now you got millions more," she sighed.
Yoongi didn't say anything in return, for the fear of digging the hole much deeper than it already was. He just kissed her apologetically before heading straight to the ball cart. He took a ball and started dribbling, went to the hoop and scored.
