A drunk Josh with an even drunker Sam walked out of my house, the two still laughing at something the others said. Sam approached me, struggling to stay up. "Girlie, me and this hot piece of ass" they said, pointing to Josh, "are gonna head back home." They gave me an exaggerated wink, which made me laugh and they handed me a half-full bottle of wine. They hugged me and walked together, holding hands. I downed the bottle of wine as I saw the two walk away and handed Matty the few drops that were left and I walked back inside. Soon enough the alcohol which had previously made no effect began to hit, making me see things in a more blunt matter. George's stories had become even funnier than how they were before, and I hadn't even realized when Matty had joined us inside, sitting next to me. I put the back of my head against his chest, and I put my feet on the top of the couch, as Adam and Ross did one of those weird couple shot things, I couldn't stop laughing.

Eventually, we were running out of beer, and seeing how it was almost 3A.M, most of the guys decided to head home. First was Adam, who was the least drunk, followed by Ross. I was left with a highly intoxicated George and Matty. George took a big sigh and suddenly stood up. "Imma head out for the night. I'm leaving my car outside cause I can't drive, alright?" He slurred out, and since my state wasn't any better than his, I just waved at him, from my comfortable position in Matty's chest. George threw us a kiss and walked out the door. Leaving the two of us alone.
"Wanna see my bedroom?" A drunken self asked Matty, who just nodded. I quickly stood up and took his hand, leading him up the stairs and into the small white door.

The wall was filled with posters from bands, and pictures of friends. A map of London hung over my bed, and a framed painting made by Den was right next to it. I threw myself in my bed, Matty falling right next to me. In the ceiling, small fluorescent stars set a little bit of childishness to the overall vibe of the bedroom. I turned to Matty, just to see him looking up at the fake stars. He turned to me. I felt butterflies take over my tummy. The nervousness that had spontaneously disappears with the effects of alcohol was back. We both slowly stood up, and he carefully took a strand of my hair, putting it behind my ear.

And then it happened.

I closed my eyes, as I felt his warm breath slowly approaching me, and suddenly our lips met for the very first time. I could feel the universe stop for just a minute, music surrounding us, and the stars imploding in the matter of seconds. That small thing which had been bugging the two of us, suddenly disappeared. After we broke the kiss, I could feel a small chuckle coming out of Matty's lips. I hid my face in his neck and he put his hand on my back. We just sat there for a minute until I moved away again and gave him a kiss on the cheek, before going back downstairs. I had suddenly remembered that my mom would probably be home early in the morning, so I had to get everything back in its place. Matty followed me closely behind.

Even in my drunken state, I was able to pick up the couple of beer cans and wine bottles that were lying around in the living room. Once we were done with everything, Matty and I just laid in the couch, me playing with his hair, as he just quietly sang to me.

"Oh shit! I just remembered something!" I said, quickly getting up, and tumbling back into my bedroom. Matty followed, standing by the doorframe as I looked around my stuff. I finally found it. The little notebook that he had previously forgotten. It had completely gone over my head to give it to him. I sat down next to him in my bed, and I handed it to him. "Here ya go! You forgot it the blackbird day, but I forgot." I giggled out and I put my head on his shoulder. "Thank you." He said with a smile, kissing my head. We both laid on the bed for a moment without saying anything, I played with his fingers as he just quietly looked at me, and occasionally kissed my cheek, just to receive back a giggle.

"I hate octopus. Not like the animal but when people eat that. I hate it." I spit out suddenly, which lead Matty to laugh at my nonsense. "Why?" I looked at him as if he had just asked me the world's most important question. "I mean they have memories, which is already pretty shit to hurt them, but then they're like chewey and shit, it makes me uncomfortable." I kept babbling as he looked at me. At that moment I wondered what he was thinking, and my drunken brain couldn't keep it inside. "Dunno," he answered "How weird it is that we've been in the same philosophy class for like four months, and in the one week that we've hung out, we've already kissed." He mentioned. A hole formed in my tummy, that was incredibly fast. "What? You mean to tell me you didn't do that with George? I thought it was a friend thing." I said, making the two of us burst out in laughter, which later on turned into small giggles, back into silence. "Guess you'll have to take me out, and then we'll take it slow and see what happens, aye?" I said, taking off my shoes, and getting comfortable in his embrace. "Suppose I'll do that." He replied, the two of us, drunkenly slipping into dream land.
