"Well then, leave him," FP said to Alice who was standing right in front of him at Pop's. Alice stood still for a second because she was so shocked. "At home." FP added as he realised what he said was wrong.

Alice scoffed and stormed out of Pop's. How dare he say that Alice thought, she was so angry that FP would ever think that she would leave Hal. She loved Hal and he gave her a nice life with their two beautiful daughters.

Alice got home and Hal was waiting for her on the sofa.

"Where the hell have you been?" Hal shouted at her.

"I-I-"

"Spit it out Alice, for gods sake." Hal said gripping Alice's arm tightly.

"I went to see FP to-"

"FP?!"

"Let me explain." Alice said calmly. "He invited Betty to his retirement party and I went to confront him because I don't want Betty to get involved like I did."

"Oh." Hal said as he quickly released his hand from Alice's arm. "Thanks, I guess."

Alice went upstairs and sat on her bed thinking about what FP had said to her. She thought of how Hal just got angry at her for no reason and gripped her arm. That wasn't something a loving husband would do. As she thought about it more, she realised that she wasn't angry at FP for insulting Hal but at herself for not realising that she should leave Hal sooner. She decided to go to FP's retirement party to escort Betty and speak to FP.

She rifled through her wardrobe until she found her serpent jacket. She put it on as well as changing into a short black skirt and put some dark red lipstick on. She walked downstairs and found Hal drinking some vodka on the sofa.

"You look like a slut." Hal spat in Alice's face. Alice stood there until she calmly took off her engagement and wedding ring and put them down on the coffee table.

"We're done." Alice said and walked out of the door. Betty had decided to go with Jughead on his motorcycle so Alice drove in her car alone.

She arrived at the party and suddenly had butterflies in her tummy because she was so nervous to see FP. She wandered into the party and spotted FP standing at the bar. She tapped his shoulder and he turned around.

"Hi" she said with a cheeky smile.

"Alice, I didn't expect you to come! You look great." FP said looking her up and down.

"I left him." Alice said.

"At home?" FP said looking curiously at Alice.

"Forever." Alice said and put her hand on FP's cheek. "It's always been you, FP, since we were kids. This is who I am." Alice said raising her arms to indicate the Whyrm was where she was meant to be.

Before FP could reply Tall Guy was at the mic calling for FP to make a speech. FP reluctantly went up to the stage.

"Hi guys. I know that the serpents are in good hands with my son and although I'm going to miss being King I can't wait to spend retirement with my Queen." FP finished pointing at Alice.
