Same mistakes

"We're going in circles, FP, we've made all the same mistakes and I can't do it anymore."

"Alice wait."

"No FP, I've done enough waiting. I'm done with you... forever."

FP stood shocked and couldn't move a muscle. Alice walked out and slammed the door. Alice sat in her car for a bit and sobbed. Every memory of her and FP as teenagers flashed by and she knew that it was going to be difficult but she was making the right choice. Alice drove away as FP looked out of the window at her car.

He couldn't believe he'd messed up again when he promised Alice he wouldn't.

A year later

Alice was holding a joint eighteenth birthday party for Betty and Jughead which she had some help for from someone very close to Jughead.

Betty and Jughead walked down the stairs at the Cooper residence and were shocked by what they saw. There were fairy lights across the ceiling and photos from their childhood covering the room.

"Happy birthday B!" Veronica shouted and ran over to Betty as Archie went over to Jughead.

"Thanks Veronica, this looks amazing!!"

"Don't thank me, thank your mum." Veronica said pointing to the kitchen.

Betty walked into the kitchen and thanked Alice who was putting the finishing touches on their cake.

More and more people arrived and the presents were piling up on the table next to the front door.

"Finally, you're here!!" Alice squealed was FP walked in. She ran over to him and hugged him. Stood behind FP was his cousin: JP Jones. "Hey Alice." he said and Alice smiled.

"Alice this looks great!" FP said and put his present down on the table.

"Well I had some help.." Alice said looking at JP.

The parents watched from afar as the kids danced in the lounge.

Finally the song FP had requested came on.

"Come on Alice, this is our song!!" FP said pulling Alice onto the dance floor. Alice and FP danced in each other's arms. "I'm so glad that you became my bestfriend, Alice."

"And I'm glad you introduced me to your cousin, FP." Alice said looking down at her engagement ring. "He makes me the happiest woman in the world."

The song ended and Alice walked up to JP and leant into him and they kissed.

"I wish I did." FP whispered to himself as Alice walked away.
