Betrayal

"Why??" Alice screamed at FP while tears ran ferociously down her cheek.

"We didn't do anything, I swear Alice, I wouldn't." FP replied trying to calm Alice down.

"No, FP, I can't do this anymore, thinking that I mean less to you than she does. It's exhausting, please just give me some space." Alice said while holding the front door of her house open so FP would leave.

"Anything you would like but Alice you have to believe me, you're the most important person in my life." FP said as walked out.

Alice slid down the wall and sat on the floor sobbing. She repeatedly hit the floors with her hands which started to bleed because she was so angry. Eventually she got up and sat down on the sofa going over the argument over and over again.

FP got back to his trailer and sat down at the kitchen table. He just wished that he could prove to Alice that she was the only woman for him and Gladys wasn't. Gladys was soon to be his ex-wife but FP had to spend more time with her to arrange custody and Alice saw them when they went out to discuss it.

Betty came home from school with Jughead and saw her mother on the sofa.

"Hey mum." Betty cheerfully said.

"Hi." Alice managed to whisper as Betty came over to her.

"What's wrong Mrs C?" Jughead said.

"Your father, he spends so much more time with your mum and I just feel so irrelevant to him."

"He's only seeing mum more because of the divorce and custody stuff. He doesn't stop going on about how much he loves you, Alice."

"He loves me?!" Alice said, now looking up at Jughead.

Betty glared at him until he nodded. Alice immediately got up and went out of the door. Once Alice had left Betty smacked Jughead.

"What was that for?!" Jughead said rubbing where Betty hit him.

"You know exactly why!!" Betty said.

FP got up from the sofa, which he'd been sat on since he got back from Alice's house, when someone knocked on the door and he opened it.

"No more secrets, no more lies." Alice tearfully said. "Do you love me?" FP stood stunned for a moment. "So you don't, do you?" Alice said as she started to walk away.

"I do." FP said suddenly. "I do, with all my heart and it scares me sometimes how much I love you. I would die for you."

Alice walked over to FP and just kissed him. It was a passionate kiss and one full of love.

"Good because it scares the crap out of me how much I love you too."
