Mina is preparing herself for a class, she needs to teach at the university area in Seoul at noon and should head to the Music Factory as Dahyun asked for a favor. Chan is in Japan, Mina just found out just last night that he's in Japan from Jihyo. Jihyo and the team tag along with him to meet with labels. It's always like that the past years, Chan never told Mina when he's on a business trip. They only communicate by phone or text even though they're living together. Well, Chan sleeps in the office a lot, so it doesn't count. They barely live together.

Mina dolled up herself in her room, and heard someone open the apartment door. Must be Chan, but why is he home already, she thought. So, she goes to the living room and sees for herself.

"Oh sh.............." She almost cursed herself as she's looking at her mother in law.

"Eomma, hello" Mina bows to her mother in law

"Yeah, hello," Said Chan's mother.

"Please take a seat, Eomma"

"I can't reach both of you the past days, are you guys ignoring my call or something?"

DAMN, Mina thought.

"Channie is in Japan right now, Eomma, he meets his label representative there. So, maybe he can't pick up your calls"

"Oh, how about you then?"

"I am traveling a lot to Gangwon-do, Eomma. To teach"

"Aigoo, both of you are working hard for sure," Chan's mother said sarcastically.

"How's Sujin, Mina?"

"She's doing great Eomma, she likes it there"

"Don't you miss her? I don't know, I can't live if my kids are parted with me. How can you both live like that? I don't understand the young generation nowadays. As a woman, you should be at home, Mina-ya, otherwise Channie would never send Sujin apart from you guys"

Of course, I miss her, Eomma

Mina didn't want to talk back to her mother in law.

Her words, even a little, cut her heart deeply. Her family is living apart and they're just fine. Mina's parents are in Seattle, her brother Takeshi and his family live in Jeju Island, and here Mina in Seoul. Even though her brother is also in Korea, Mina rarely sees him. The family meets once a year, whether they went home to Seattle, or the parents come to Korea. And they're still a small happy family.

With Sujin, it almost feels like finally, she got a family who lived close with her, because Mina has been living alone since her youth days. But then Chan sent Sujin away as well, making her life lonely again.

Ever since Chan sent Sujin to Seattle, Chan's mother made it like it was Mina's fault, Mina's failing to be her mother, can't take care of her, so Chan needed to send her to a boarding school. While on the other hand, Mina tried her best to be both presents at her job and her family. Besides, how can Chan's mother say those things when Chan's brother also lives abroad.

In the past years, her mother always complained when she asked to watch out for Sujin. Like any other in-laws in the drama, all she can do is make comments. It makes Mina mad sometimes, but she can't do anything about it.

Chan's mother then went home, she just wanted to store side dishes to the fridge and Mina continued to prepare for her class. Seeing her mother in law in the morning, of course, got her nerves. She drove to the university and started to teach. And soon after she headed back to Seoul and there was a traffic jam. Surely, this day was a shitty day to Mina.

She arrives late at the Music Factory, around 30 minutes late. She already notified Dahyun about this. And Dahyun said it's fine. She then starts her vocal lesson. Dahyun wanted Mina to teach her artist for a while, her best vocal teacher in the company fractured her bone and needed to rest for 2 months, Mina agreed to replace her for a while despite her busy schedule. Dahyun met Mina in JYPE HQ back then, Jihyo introduced her to Dahyun. For quite some time, Mina helped Dahyun in her company as well. Mina loves working with Dahyun. All of her artists were easy to train and since it's an indie label Mina could explore their voices freely.
