13. Training Day 1.1

When the Gems and Jungkook returned to the abandoned house the next day, the sun was high in the sky beaming over an ocean that was bright and lively.

The smell of salt was thick in the air. After taking a deep breath in, Jungkook finally felt all the way awake. He'd felt like a zombie from the moment he was coaxed out of bed and all the way down the boardwalk. The beach's beauty was always a good way to kick the crust out of his eyes and help him forget about the yawn on his lips.

"Today," Namjewel began, stopping in front of the beat up brown door of the house before everyone could follow inside,

"You three start training out on the beach."

He'd specifically pointed out Jemin, Taezanite and JK.

Jemin looked totally ecstatic while the other two looked like they could cry.

"Oh, you were serious about the training thing." Jungkook laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck.

"Im never not serious."

Without waiting for a response, Namjewel led the rest of the team into the house, leaving a dumbfounded looking red head behind.

"Damn it." He cursed the leader's disappearing back.

Jemin swiftly hooked his arm with JK's and started to drag him to the shore, close to the water.

"There's no time to waste. We have to start your orientation, Kook."

"Don't call me Kook." JK replied sourly, pushing the smaller gem off of him.

"But what orientation?"

Jemin just nodded in return, pink fluffy hair bouncing and a goofy smile plastered on his kid like face to hide his slight disappointment in how cold the boy was acting towards him.

"Orientation into my Battle Training School, or BTS for short."

"Here we go." The younger sighed with an eye roll.

"You heard Namjewel. Your first day of training starts now. I will be your teacher, and Tae will serve as a practice dummy as needed."

The aforementioned's ears perked up and he gave a wary face.

"Practice dummy?"

"No more questions! We'll start with the basic Need To Know." Jemin exclaimed, beginning to pace back and forth like a professor gathering his thoughts for a oncoming lecture.

Tae and JK took this as a signal to take a seat and get comfortable. Jemin looked like he was getting ready to do a brain dump and no one wanted to listen through it while standing up.

"Since the beginning of time there has come to be millions of different types of gems with special powers unique to themselves." The small pink gem began.

"Gems are created in nurseries when two or more pre-existing gems come together and deposit a mind flower into the ground of a cave-like environment in nature. The original gems, or mother gems were the diamonds, and from their minds and bodies were born every other known gem to this day."

"I love this story." Taezanite whispered to JK, eyes totally focused on the pacing man in front of them.

"I didn't ask." Jungkook whispered back harshly with a scowl.

"A mind flower is a product of the garden within one's gem. Every gem has a psychological garden inside them that may not necessarily be a literal garden, but is a place where you go when the condition of your gem is critical and major healing needs to done in order to sustain it. In every garden, there is an object that can be brought out of the body in order to reproduce outside with another gem. This object is called a mind flower."
