Fear spread a thick shadow over Aspen's face as she stood up to scream but was silenced once the man shoved her against the wall, placing his hand over her mouth to muffle out her cry.She recognized his stern face scowling down at her. Derek Hale only inches away from her face. His hardened features never faltering as he stared at her in the eyes. She tried moving her other hand, but thanks to his werewolf abilities, he was quick to grasp her wrist and pin it above her head. And if she even thought about kicking him, his knee had already pinned her thigh against the wall. Aspen tried squirming from his grip, but him being a werewolf didn't exactly work out in her favor as it hurt even to budge under his weight.
"Don't. Scream." he demanded in a low intimidating whisper. "okay?"
Aspen's nod was strained, her breath quickening, afraid he would hurt her. Derek could hear her quickening heartbeat and slowly pull his hand away from her mouth. Aspen's breaths were staggered as her eyes were locked with Derek's, never faltering.
He grabbed her by the chin and moved her face side to side as if looking for something.
"W-what are you doing?" Aspen let out a low stammer, which thanks to Derek's werewolf ears, he heard quite clearly.
"I'm smelling you," he said in annoyance as if she was interrupting him.
"Yea, you don't sound like a predator at all."
"If I get off you, will you run?" he asked her, but it sounded more like a threat.
"N-no. I w-wont. I won't." Aspen whispered back, swallowing against the lump in her throat. Derek finally released Aspen, her body relaxing. She kept her eyes on him, questions sweeping her mind why he was in her room. How did he get in? To Aspen's recollection, she was fairly certain that Derek didn't even know who she was. Seeing as he knew where she lived, he must have been keeping tabs on all of them.
"What do you want? What are you doing in my house?" Aspen asked him, keeping her back pressed against the wall.
Derek took it upon himself to wonder about her room, aspen watching every move he made. She eyed her door as a possible escape but noticed he had locked it beforehand.
"Aspen, right? Your a friend of Scott's," Derek said ever so casually, like breaking into people's houses was a hobby.
"How'd you figure that out, by stocking us?"
"Am I going to get a clear answer out of you?"
"You first. What the hell are you doing in my house, and what do you want?" Aspen bravely hardened her voice, catching Derek by surprise as he picked up a photo of Scott, Stiles, and herself during the first day of freshman year.
