Akiza's POV:

I felt cemented to my spot as I stared at Sayer horrified. How on earth did he find out that we were all marked?

We were all marked before we joined Duel Academy which was around three years ago. Yusei and Jack were fifteen, Crow and I were fourteen, and lastly, Leo and Luna were twelve. I had just left the Arcadia Movement and Yusei took me in as well as all the others, he was the mom of the group, always looking out for us to make sure we're always ok.

We had all grown up with little memories of our parents. Crow, Jack, and Yusei grew up in an orphanage together but something bad happened to it which made them live on the streets though, that never stopped them from helping others because soon after that they took in Leo and Luna then lastly, they took me in after I ran away from the Arcadia Movement group because of Sayer.

But now he's back and he knows about our Signer Marks.

"Yusei? What is he talking about?" Jaden said from his spot, stepping away from Leo and Luna to look at the black and yellow haired boy, who was still shocked about what was just revealed. "Oh? You mean to tell me he's your boyfriend but he's never told you about his mark? Why do you think he's always wearing jackets or long sleeves or in this case, long gloves that cover his forearms. Don't tell me that you never wondered why these six are always wearing long sleeves or anything that can cover their forearms." Sayer said which earned a glare from Jack. "Enough Sayer, what does this have to do with Y/N and Carly missing?" Crow said as he backed away from Yusei and crossed his arms over his chest while we all glared at the maroon haired man, including the twins.

"Tsk, don't tell me you don't know about the Signers biggest enemy." Sayer stated as he balanced himself on his feet once Calvin stepped away only to be grabbed and held by Roland, "The hell are you talking about, Sayer?" Jack stepped in as he also pulled away from Yusei and fixed his signature white and purple jacket while he glared at the man being held. "Ugh, I knew it was a bad idea to trust the world's fate in the hands of pathetic children. Especially some who don't know the reason they were even marked." Sayer chuckled and shook his head as I glared at him and took a step towards him but was stopped by feeling a hand on my shoulder, turning and looking up to see Yami standing there.

"How dare you insult these kids? They are all amazingly talented and smart which isn't what I would call you, judging how you rashly rushed onto a Kaiba Corp boat and didn't make it past the boarding platform before you were jumped by these 'Pathetic children' so next time I think you should watch who you're talking to and about or else I'll let my friends, Bakura and Malik over there, have their fun with you." Yami stated, seeing as his eyes started to glow a bright blood red while dark chuckles were heard from the two men that he mentioned.

I turned back at Sayer and watched as the blood seemed to drain from his face, seeing him pale and stare at Yami horrified from what he had just heard. Yami then turned to me and gave me an unreadable expression which made me feel uneasy, "I won't force any of you but I must know, will you please show us these marks that this lunatic was talking about?" He asked as I shifted and looked at my feet before turning my gaze to the rest of team 5D's.

I noticed they looked unsure but I sighed and began rolling down the sleeve of my long black gloves, revealing the red mark that claimed my forearm as the Foot of the Dragon. Eventually, the others followed in suit, revealing their marks as they rolled up their sleeves or pulled down the sleeves of their gloves.

Yusei had the mark of the Dragon's head, Jack had the mark of the Dragon's wings, I had the mark of the Dragon's foot, Luna had the mark of the Dragon's hand, Crow had the mark of the Dragon's tail, and lastly, Leo had the mark of the Dragon's heart. And they all came together to form the Crimson Dragon.

Once we revealed our marks, we turned towards Sayer, only to see he was smirking widely which only made me want to punch him in the face again. "Now that we revealed our marks, who is our greatest enemy?" Jack questioned as he glared at Sayer, seeing as the man wasn't phased by the glare from the blonde haired boy, "You and always getting down to business. Just like Carly, I can see why you like her so much, Jackie." Sayer laughed only to be tackled by Jack, who slammed the man to the ground before he punched Sayer in the face twice.

"How do you know Carly?!" Jack shouted as Sayer groaned, earning another punch to the face from the boy on top of him, "Jack! Come on, calm down for a sec!" Crow shouted as he and Yusei tried to pull off the taller boy from Sayer, "No! Get the hell off of me!" Jack screamed as the two boys finally dragged him off of the man. "What did you do to Carly?!" Jack yelled as Bakura and Malik forced the bleeding man to his feet while holding him up as Sayer used the sleeves of his brown trench coat to stop the blood that was coming from his nose.

"Nothing aside that I dueled her and she fell off a cliff but once I went to see if she was ok or alive, she was gone. I never found a body or nothing. It's almost as if she just vanished into thin air." Sayer explained, his voice sounding weird due to him putting pressure on his nose to stop it from bleeding.

Once he heard this, Jack instantly fought against Yusei and Crow's grip, trying to grab Sayer again which made Calvin run and help the two boys calm him down. "Enough with your encrypted games, Sayer. Tell us who is the Signers biggest enemy before I throw you off my ship. Regardless of what you know." Seto stated, stepping forward as he stood next to Yami. Sayer sighed and wiped his nose before looking at all of us, sparing a small glimpse at the CEO before his gaze fell to me, the last person he chose to look at.

"For every five thousand years, there's always been a fight between those who are marked. There were the good marks, which is you six, and there were the bad marks which are the dark marks. People who have the dark marks are also known as the Dark Signers, your biggest threat. Signers against the Dark Signers, winner gets all. If the Signers win, the world is at peace for another five thousand years but if the Dark Signers win, it would be five thousand years of darkness." Sayer explained as he kept his gaze locked on me.

"Signers and Dark Signers must go against one another in order to win or lose but the catch is that they don't play regular duels." He continued, "No, they play dark duels, much that resemble a Shadow Game but instead of losing and going to the Shadow Realm, the loser goes to a place called the Netherworld. My guess is that the battle for the world is beginning and the Dark Signers chose to play dirty by taking your friends as hostages to make winning easier for them." He finished as we were all silent for a while, processing what he had just said.

Jaden suddenly stepped forward with his hands clenched into fists while he glared at Sayer, "Fine! Then let these so-called Dark Signers win! I just want my cousin and friend back!" He exclaimed but stopped once Ishizu put a hand on his shoulder. "No, Jaden. If these Dark Signers win, what's to say they won't do something horrible to both Y/N and Carly once they win? The Signers must fight and win this upcoming fight if we are to see Carly and Y/N well again." She said, her voice sounding calm and relaxing as she tried to calm Jaden down which worked because I saw his shoulders sag as he agreed with what his aunt had said. "So it's settled then, you guys got to track down and defeat these so-called Dark Signers." Tristan stated as Duke put a hand on his shoulder, "Yeah but don't ya worry, we'll have ya backs!" Jesse stated as Chazz held his hand.

"Always and forever!" Aster smiled while Syrus giggled and had a hand on his arm, "We're a group, a family. We gotta look out for each other. Regardless the out come." Lyra said as she grabbed Crow's arm, seeing the orange haired boy blush slightly before a smile came onto his lips. Everyone looked so happy with their lovers that it hurt knowing that I couldn't hold Y/N's hand and Jack couldn't hold Carly. I looked over to see Jack smiled at the others but his smile never reached his eyes like it used to when Carly was around.

He eventually met my gaze and I sent him a small smile which he returned. Don't worry, Jack, we'll get them back.

If only we had known what was waiting for us back in Domino City.
