"BABY HUGHES! WE MISSED YOU!"

Something changed in Aubrey and David's relationship after their Vernon Hills trip. There was some sort of pressure on them somehow.

Everyone was rooting for them to be endgame, and everyone wanted them to progress in their relationship. Aubrey and David tried their best not to mind all of it though, having the world and your friends root for your relationship isn't really the worst thing ever.

The both of them continued on with their relationship after their fight as if it never happened. It was as if Aubrey had never lied to him and he hadn't said all those mean words.

It was easy living in their bliss when everyone supports it.

It was around the holiday time and things were starting to get hectic for the couple. Both were very busy doing each of their own holiday specials. Aubrey had been sleeping at David's house everyday for the sake of seeing him because she's been working late almost everyday.

Aubrey and David both groaned at the sound of their friends from the living room one Saturday. The couple had only fallen asleep at 3 am that morning because of work, hearing their friends being so loud so early were making them lose their shits.

"God, that's it. I'm making a new rule for the house. No guests before 11," David groaned.

"I should probably get up," Aubrey whispered.

"Nooo," her boyfriend complained.

"I have to," Aubrey cooed, "I need to get back to my apartment, I haven't been there all week."

"Then just don't come back at all," David said, a realization finally sinking onto him.

"Dave, don't be ridiculous."

"Bree I'm being deadass serious," He replied, finally sitting up.

"This house feels more like a clubhouse sometimes and I love it, but I think I'm ready to have a really calm house right now. We can keep this one for like business purposes and obviously Natalie can still stay here but I don't know, I think I'd like to share a house with you."

"Dave, are you sure that's what you want? We're still in our early twenties, you know, we have time."

"Yes, that's what I want. Besides, we've been dating for awhile and we've had the best time with each other, I think we're ready for this, Bree. Unless, you don't want to, of course."

Aubrey stayed silent for a moment. She had a lot to think about after all, this was going to be a big step. They were going to get a house together and share it. It's practically the step before marriage.

"Can I think about it?" She asked, although it kind of killed her to say it because she knew that David was going to be disappointed it wasn't a straight up yes.

She was right. A flash of disappointment went through David's eyes but the boy nodded nonetheless, "Of course."

"Thank you," Aubrey promptly said, "for being understanding."

There was a weird pause for a second, which had never happened to them before. Thankfully, they started hearing Zane shouting at them from right outside the door, which cut the tension and made them get their move on.
