Do I knock?
I had been standing awkwardly in front of Kylo's door for around 5 minutes, trying to muster up the courage to walk inside. I had hoped once he sensed me the door would open, but he didn't want to let me in.
I exhaled sharply and spoke loudly into it. "Kylo, I know you're in there. Please just open the door."
Silence.
"Kriff, Kylo please! I need your help, I'm confused and scared and I don't know what in the hells is going on with me. You're the only one who can help..." My voice wavered at the end, yet my pleas were still met with silence.
"Kylo I need you." I spoke genuinely, not expecting those words to tumble from my lips. It was true, he had the answers, he could help ease this war of emotions pounding furiously in the back of my mind.
Finally the door opened, Kylo was standing in the doorway of his bedroom with his back turned, his mask and cloak were sporadically draped across the floor.
I bit my bottom lip and tentatively walked inside, heart beating just a fraction faster as our distance closed. Something got my attention which caused me to pause dead in my tracks, almost an arms length away from the tall figure before me.
"What happened?" My voice was like a whisper as I examined his wall. The metal was slashed repeatedly, the cut edges were glowing with a faint red tinge. My hand reached out just inches from the wall, I could feel the warmth graze my bare fingertips.
There was only one object that could create such destruction, a lightsaber. Kylo's lightsaber.
I turned to face Kylo's back, his breathing was erratic, hair messy and unkempt. He looked disheveled, almost defeated, something caused his emotions to spike, and I knew it was all because of me. My heart sank into my stomach, the last thing I wanted was to cause him any pain.
But I was in pain too.
I reached out to lightly and tenderly touch his back, he immediately recoiled and turned around, shoving my hand away in the process. Kylo's face was rigid, there was something frightening about the way he was staring into me, a look I had never experienced from him.
"Kyl-"
"Don't" He roared coldly. There was so much anger in his voice, which for the life of me I couldn't figure out the reason for.
"Why are you being like this?" The fury inside me now bubbled, I thought he would be understanding of how I felt, offer me guidance, anything but this.
He didn't reply, however his face softened just a fraction, eyes still holding their hot rage.
"I need answers Kylo, you're the only one who can help. My mind has been spinning since the moment that bullet stayed afloat in mid-air. My whole world has just collapsed on me, I thought I could come to you." I was pleading, tone softening near the end, trying my hardest to get him to understand.
"I do understand." He exhaled painfully. I could tell there was more he wanted to say, but for some reason he fought back the words.
Taking a step closer I spoke in a hushed tone. "Did I use the force? Or am I just going crazy?"
"You did." He made a strained face and averted his gaze, as if it became more painfully real to say the words out loud. However I had a different reaction, for once a moment of clarity.
"Oh my stars. How is this possible? I- I have never done that before."
He took a moment before speaking, carefully deciding what to say. I noticed his body stiffen as thoughts swirled around his mind.
