My body was buzzing, still high off the feeling of having a new identity, one I was excited to put to use.

"So when do I get my own glorified glow stick?"  I asked, bouncing happily on my feet.

Kylo's gaze on me intensified, his features twisted into a scowl. "Say that again and all training will cease, indefinitely."

"Glorified glow stick?" I questioned with fake innocence, the words freely tumbled out of my mouth before I had a chance to stop myself.

Kylo's jaw hardened and I noticed his entire body stiffen at my words. Today he's been in a mood, and not the normal angsty Kylo I was used too, his temper was shorter, jaw permanently clenched, eyes flickering with embers every time I spoke.

I crossed my arms over my chest, today I wasn't inclined to put up with him, especially since he was the one who got me up and rushed for our session.

"Okay what gives? You've been in this mood all kriffing day, it's like you don't want to train me." I huffed, narrowing my eyes at his.

"I don't." His voice dropped lower, colder. I was taken aback by his words, my eyes widened, not expecting him to agree with me.

"Oh." I spoke softly, voice almost a whisper. My head dropped, arms moving to wrap around and grip my elbows.

The fire in my body had disappeared, now replaced with disappointment and confusion, feelings I have recently grown accustomed too. It appeared every conversation I had with him ends with my head spinning and a sinking heart, all I want is normal for once, a chance to just live in the moment without any fear of the future or Kylo's rapidly changing mood swings.

Kylo didn't stir, only remained frozen in his position, towering darkly over me with a tightly clenched jaw.

"So that's it then?" I spoke louder, my tone resembled his, harsh and cold. "We're just done?"

"No." Deadpan.

"Kriffing hells Kylo!" I boomed, arms flailing up in frustration. "Use your fucking words for once in your life!"

His eyes darkened for a moment, the rise in my voice ignited a fire deep in his core. I figured he wasn't yelled at very often, like really yelled at.  Deep down I was frightened about how he would react, but I didn't dare show it, I would stand my ground until it killed me.

We engaged in a stare off, both our eyebrows creasing so hard it started to hurt. His eyes held so much of his soul, most times they were the only indicators of his inward thoughts and emotions, I wanted desperately to project into them and take a look into his mind.

A quick image flashed into my thoughts, it lasted only a second but that was enough to decipher it. Kylo wanted to wrap his massive hand around my neck, however his intent wasn't malicious, no he didn't want to kill me - it was something else.

I broke our stare, desperately trying to push that image aside for the idea of being choked by him didn't scare me, the feelings I felt from him were instead... exciting.

I let my eyes peer back on his, Kylo's anger had lifted slightly as his lips faintly curled into a smirk. My cheeks became hot, he knew what I saw, and worse he knew my reaction.
