Not A Fairytale

Chapter 21 (Last Chapter)

I woke up to find out I was on the couch. I looked around, but I was alone. I sat up slowly.

"Niall?" I called out. I waited but got no response.

I got up and decided to look around. What time is it? I went upstairs. On my alarm clock, it said 8:00 am. It's still early....where could Niall be.

"Niall!" I shouted. Still no response.

I went back downstairs. On the table was a note. It read:

MY DEAR BRIANNA, I LOVE AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. I HAVE REALIZED THOUGH, IF I COULDN'T HAVE YOU, THEN NO ONE COULD. SO I HAVE YOUR BELOVED NIALL. IF YOU EVER WANT TO SEE HIM ALIVE, YOU WILL STAY WITH ME FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. MEET ME @ THE ABANDONED WEAR-HOUSE @ 10.

YOUR LOVE, DYLAN

I dropped the note and immediately collapsed to the ground. How did he get out of jail? Why couldn't he leave me alone?!?!? I have to go find him. I ran upstairs to get prepared. I had an emergency gun, which I haven't used yet. I also hid a knife in my boot. Just in case something happens. I got in the car and drove. I was nervous and scared. I got there and looked at my watch. It had just turned 10. I walked inside.

"Niall?" I called out.

"You came." I heard Dylan's voice come from the room to my left. I opened it up. Niall was sitting in a chair tied up. Dylan was holding a gun to his head.

"Let him go." I demanded. I was not going to show my fear anymore.

"Wow. You get right to the point." He said chuckling.

"Let him go." I repeated. I looked at Niall who was frightened. He kept shaking his head.

"Now now. Don't be so quick. Niall. Do you have anything to say?" He asked. He removed the tape from Niall's mouth.

"Leave, Brianna. Get out of here! I don't want you getting hurt!" He yelled.

"No, Niall! I'm staying. I want you to be safe. I love you." I said gentely. A tear rolled down my cheek.

"I'd hate to interupt. But I have a time limit." Dylan said.

"The deal was, you'd let him go. Now let him go." I said through gritted teeth.

"I don't think so." He said putting the gun closer to his head. I pulled out my gun and aimed it at Dylan.

"Let him go!" I yelled again.

"Put the weapon down or this bullet goes right through his brain." He spat at me. I didn't budge.

"Ok then. Have it your way-"

"Stop!" I yelled. He looked at me. I put the gun down slowly.

"Good girl. Now kick it over." He said nodding to the gun. I kicked it over. He walked over to me. The gun pointing at my chest. I looked at Niall.

"I love you, Brianna." Dylan said kissing my neck. I looked away in disgust. "Do you love me?" He asked. I looked at him, but didn't answer. "DO YOU LOVE ME?!?" He yelled. I winced back.

"No." I whispered.

"Don't lie to me." He said grabbing my neck. My breath hitched in my throat.

"I'm not." I said calmly.

"Stop!" He yelled at me. "You think you love him?" He said pointing the gun at Niall. I immediately jumped foward.

"Woah. Slow down there." He said stopping me in my tracks.

"Don't hurt him." I said quietly.

"You hear that? She loves you. She. Loves. You. Not me. She's supposed to love me!" He yelled.

"I should kill you now." He said pointing the gun at Niall. He was about to pull the trigger. I jumped foward and knocked him to the ground. He rolled around so that he was on top. He punched me. I kicked him so that I could get up. I cut Niall loose. Then, Dylan jumped me. He punched me again. Niall pulled him off. They kept fighting. Dylan punched Niall out cold, though. He turned to face me. I picked the gun up, but he slapped it out of my hand. He jumped me and grabbed my throat.

"You'll suffer. You'll be the one to die!" He spat at me.

"Think again." I pulled the knife out of my boot and stabbed him in the stomach. He fell off clutching the knife. He pulled it out, but continued to bleed.

"How could you? I loved you." He said.

"But I didn't love you." I said coldly.

"I'm sorry." He said before he took his last breath. I went to Niall. He just woke up.

"Let's get out of here." I grabbed his limp body and helped him to the car. The cops arrived. I told them everything and they let me go. I went home and took Niall to his room.

"I'm sorry you had to go through this." I said to Niall.

"It's okay. I'd do anything to be with you." He said smiling.

"I love you." I said leaning down to kiss him.

"I love you too." He said smiling against my lips.

~5 years later~

"Merry Christmas!" I yelled to Niall as he got up. He rubbed his eyes.

"Mmmm...yeah. Merry...um-Christmas." He said.

"Come on! Get up!" I yelled. He grumbled, but still got up. I ran downstairs to see presents under the tree.

"Where's my dad?" Niall asked.

"He had work." I said frowning.

"Oh." Niall said, still rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"Can we open the presents now?" I said jumping up and down.

"Sure." Niall said laughing. I ran and got the presents. I pulled out Niall's.

"You first." I said handing him his present. He laughed and opened it. He smiled at the present.

"I love it." He said leaning over to kiss me. It was a picture of us on our date at the carnival. I took it after our first, real kiss.

"I'm glad you love it." I said smiling.

"Now you." He said handing me my present. It was small. I opened it up. It was a little red leather box. Niall grabbed it from me and got down on one knee. He opened up the box to reveal a beautiful ring. I was suprised and over-whelmed.

"Brianna. You are the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I love you so much. I realized that you are the one for me. I will never find anyone like you ever again. So, will you do the honors and make me the happiest man on earth. Will you marry me?" He said softly.

I was so happy. I jumped up.

"Yes!" I said hugging him. He put the ring on my finger and I cried tears of joy. I just kept hugging him. I kissed him.

"I love you so much!" He said spinning me around.

"I have something else to say." I said sniffling.

"What is it?" He asked.

"I'm pregnant. You're gunna be a daddy!" I said waiting for a response. He smiled and this time he cried tears of joy. He hugged me.

"This is fantastic!" He yelled kissing me. I couldn't believe it. I will finally get to have a family. I smiled to myself. I couldn't be more happy.
