To Us, 2,000 Years From Now... (Eren Jaeger x OC)

Eren did not like this Azure girl.

All she did was follow him around. It would've been fine if she could at least hold a decently long conversation, but all she would do was nod, giving the occasional one-word answer. 

And Eren was sick of it.

He couldn't outright tell the girl he hated her. He was worried (although he wouldn't admit it) that any negative conversation would make Azure cry. And he was very sure he wouldn't hear the end of it from his parents if he did make her cry.

The two walked around the town of Shiganshina in the same awkward silence as usual. Eren repeatedly glanced over to the auburnette beside him, trying to think of a conversation starter, but it wasn't needed as Azure suddenly perked up, looking at the town clock.

She turned to Eren with wide, sparkling eyes.

"Can we go see the Survey Corps?"

Eren's eyes widened to match her own. He nodded and she took his hand, pulling ahead with shocking speed. Eren was absolutely sure that he just witnessed her speak the most words to him since the funeral.

The two made their way to the direct front of the crowd. Eren could feel Azure's hand start to get clammy. She would stiffen then relax repeatedly. Was she waiting for someone?

The gates opened. Azure's hand stiffened once again, but it didn't relax. She leaned forward and narrowed her eyes in an attempt to see farther. Eren joined her, unsure of what she was trying to look for, but attempting to help regardless. Azure's hand suddenly tightened around Eren's, who winced in response. "Look!" She yelled, pointing towards a girl in goggles.

Eren looked down the line of soldiers, his eyes spotting the girl in goggles. She had a striking resemblance to Azure, with the same wide-eyed, curious look that Azure had when she had first moved to Shiganshina.

Azure waved towards the girl, who visibly brightened and rode up to the pair, a broad smile making its way onto her face.

"Hello, Blue!" The girl beamed. She leaned down and held out a hand towards Azure to help her onto the horse. She gestured towards Eren.

"You're the Jaeger kid, right? Wanna hop on?"

Eren's eyes practically sparkled. The girl slid off the horse and propped Eren right behind Azure. The three then rode off towards the interior of the town.

Azure squealed at the sensation of the wind, clutching onto the horse. Eren, on the other hand, was practically going to explode. He had never ridden a horse before, but he definitely wanted to now.

The horse stopped at the town square. The three dismounted from the horse and the girl in goggles bent down to ruffle Azure's hair.

"I have a few more things to take care of at headquarters, but I promise I'll come to visit soon," she hummed.

Azure sighed, mumbling an "okay." She crossed her arms and frowned. The girl gave a sad smile.

"Nisha!"

The girl, Nisha, perked up and looked towards a soldier that called her name.

"I'm coming, Corporal!" She yelled back. She planted a quick kiss on Azure's head and patted Eren's head.

"Gotta go, stay safe, you two!"

The two watched as she ran over to her superior, who met her awkward smile with a glare. Eren nudged Azure.

"That was your sister, right?" He asked. Azure nodded, still watching Nisha. Eren's mouth widened into a grin. "That's so cool! Your sister is a Survey Corps soldier!"
