"What are you kids doing out here so late?"

    The Shiganshina Four whipped around to see the familiar blonde hair of Garrison Captain Hannes. They immediately saluted.

    "Pipe down, kids. You don't have to salute to me," he said.

    "Hannes, what are you doing out here?" Asked Armin. Hannes let out a laugh. "Isn't that what I just asked you?"

    Eren awkwardly laughed along with him. "Sorry, we're just kind of distracted. Taking a breather from the military, y'know?"

    Hannes nodded. The group fell into an awkward silence until Hannes coughed, grabbing their attention.

    "Eren, Mikasa...I was just thinking about Carla...I'm so sorry I couldn't save her. I was a coward and didn't have the strength...I'm so sorry."

    Eren let out a sigh. "It's fine."

    "And you know, I'm just so happy to see all you kids together again. You're all just so brave to join the military...so much braver than me..." he whimpered. Azure patted his back. "Are you drunk, Hannes?" She asked.

    The blonde man ignored the question and started to spiral. "I think you honestly get your bravery from your dad, Eren. He was such an amazing man...I remember all of Shiganshina had a viral outbreak and Dr. Jaeger came to our rescue...I've wanted to repay the favour ever since."

    The Shiganshina Four exchanged confused glances but remained silent. Hannes perked up.

    "Y'know, Eren, I was wondering if you'd seen Dr. Jaeger anywhere. I feel like I have to thank him again...he's so brave..." he sobbed. Eren furrowed his brows in thought. "My dad...?" He muttered.

    Eren's eyes widened. He held a hand to his head and fell to his knees. Mikasa immediately dropped down beside him.

    "Eren, are you okay?"

    Eren swayed side to side. "My dad...the forest...needle...Dad..." was all that he responded with before his eyes rolled back and his body went limp. Armin let out a shriek. "Eren!"

    Azure bit her lip. She looked up at Hannes in confusion. "What is he talking about, Hannes?"

    Hannes couldn't respond. He stared dead at Eren's collapsed form.

    "I think Dr. Jaeger is dead."

    Eren awoke with a start.

    "Eren!"

    Eren turned to his side to see Mikasa hovering over him, worry etched onto her features.

    "Eren, are you okay?" Armin asked.

The said boy nodded, slowly sitting up and holding his head. "What happened?"

    Azure gave him a soft smile. "You passed out. Luckily it just seems like you were tired. You pretty much slept through the rest of the night peacefully."

    Eren nodded again. He lightly pushed Mikasa away and slid off of the bed. He rubbed his eyes.

    Mina T. poked her head in through the door. "Hey, you guys! Aren't you going to head off to your final assignments?"

    Armin let out a gasp. "Oh shoot! I completely forgot! Let's go, Mikasa!"

    Without even giving the ravenette a chance to respond, Armin grabbed her arm and rushed out the door. Mina T. waved goodbye at Eren and Azure and trailed after Armin and Mikasa. Eren scrambled to grab his boots and jacket. Azure looked at him in confusion. "What are you doing?"
