To Us, 2,000 Years From Now... (Eren Jaeger x OC)

It was the year 850.

Armin Arlert ran at the back of the group of trainees through a forest, his legs struggling to keep up with his peers. The pack on his back continued to weigh him down.

The rain poured heavily. Water splashed every time his foot met the grass.

Shadis watched the trainees from the comfort of his horse, keeping an eye on Armin.

"That Arlert kid..." he thought. "Physically, he's lacking, but he makes up for it tenfold with his wit."

Reiner ran up to the side of his smaller blonde friend, easily taking the pack from Armin's back. Armin swiftly took the pack back, giving Reiner a determined look before pushing his body to go faster.

"Reiner Braun, on the other hand, is powerful in both strength and his will," Shadis thought.

He looked towards the trainees battling titan cutouts deeper into the forest and examined their abilities.

"Annie Leonhardt is an exceptional soldier, but her poor teamwork decreases her value...Bertholdt Hoover has lots of potential, yet he can't make a decision to save his life...Jean Kirchstein is an excellent soldier in concept. He's very skillful and makes a great leader, but his aggressive personality conflicts with that."

Shadis watched as Jean swooped in to kill a cutout, only to have Connie once again swoop in to steal his kill. In the end, the two didn't get to the cutout fast enough, and Sasha stole the kill.

"Connie Springer is skillful, but his mental ability is lacking. Sasha Braus is swift physically and in conflict resolution. Her instincts are practically the icing on the cake. ".

Shadis turned to watch Mikasa and Eren, who resided a bit farther into the forest.

"Mikasa Ackerman is completely perfect. She's the mega-soldier with incredible potential, despite her odd attachment to Eren Jaeger. Jaeger shows incredible skill and determination, but his attitude is just as bad as Kirchstein's," he thought.

Shadis finally turned towards Azure and Mina T., watching as the two collaborated to kill a titan cutout.

"Azure Violez appears to be a fast learner. She rarely makes the same mistake twice and has a strong sense of loyalty, but that loyalty could get her into some serious trouble. Mina Torel has a surprising amount of strength and has great mental skills, but her poor assertiveness makes her a terrible leader."

Shadis sighed, his gaze returning to Azure.

"She's too much like her mother."

"Do you guys have something against me!?" Jean huffed.

Sasha and Connie exchanged glances and shrugged. "No, why?" Sasha asked. Jean threw his hands up in the air. "All you guys do is steal my kills!"

Azure watched the three argue with a smile on her face. Marco sidled up beside her. "It's almost as if nothing has changed, huh?" He said. Azure nodded in agreement.

"It's almost as if the older we get, the dumber we get," she joked.

Eren clasped a hand on each of their shoulders, causing the two to jolt in surprise. "Calm down, it's just me."

Marco smiled in greeting. "How are you doing, Eren?" He asked.

Eren shrugged. "I'm doing alright. I actually came here because I wanted to talk to you about something."
