Chapter 22

J O K E ' S  O N  M E

Haemin's POV*

I expected something fun and care-free experience during my first date in Romantic and Idol. Not like this.

Walking side by side, not uttering a single word, with thick awkward air hovering over us. I definitely didn't see this coming.

It's not that me and Jungkook are awkward. We don't have problem at all. It's just that I was too mad to think something straight. Yes, I'm probably the most stupid girl in the world for accepting one of the roles in Romantic and Idol after all the drama between me, Jungkook and Jimin. But I need a break and this show seems the best breathing space for me....Not anymore.

Let me explain to you what is The Romantic and Idol Show about. In this reality show, 4 male idols and 4 female idols will be joining this. The idols will travel to Jeju island where they will stay for 3 days and 2 nights. During the stay, each idols will have a partner/date depending on what method of choosing will be used. On the half-time of the stay, an pre-interim choice will be done where each of the idols will choose the person they love to be with. Fate decides this show. The idols will experience falling in love or heartbreaks. At the end of the stay, the final choice will be decided, determining if there are idols who feel the same way towards each other.

And having Jungkook as one of the male idols... I don't know what to think about this. What will be Jimin's reaction to this?

We continued walking at the streets of Myeongdong as the staff follows silently behind us.

"Are you mad at me?" Jungkook whispered.

I gave him a stern look.

"I'm sorry okay? I'm just uncomfortable about the idea you joining this kind of show" he said in a hushed voice, not wanting the staff to know what we're talking about. Each words and movements we do are recorded and aired.

I rolled my eyes.

"So that's the reason why you joined this? Are you eiffin' kidding me?" I hissed under my breath.

He slowly nodded his head.

"Okay. If you want to be mad at me at least be fair. Jimin hyung also-" Jungkook was cut when a staff approached me.

"Guys! Here's your first mission card" one of the staff handed me a yellow envelop.

"And please, can you act a little lovey-dovey. You know it's a dating show right?" The camera man whispered to us.

I sighed inwardly.

"I'm sorry" I told them.

"Aigoo.. let's talk about this later. Since we are already here, we have to act like a couple" I told Jungkook.

"I don't have problems with that" Jungkook smiled mischievously.

"Yah! You're really taking advantage on me" I playfully hit his arm.
