Haha hey,

So originally Mattia was gonna be just gay and Kai was gonna be bi, but I changed my mind and it's the reverse so yeah ❤

Kairi

I had finished unpacking my stuff into my room, I didn't bring all of my things since I figured I could just buy more stuff whenever I needed it. My stummy grumbled, reminding me that I haven't eaten anything since breakfast this morning. I decided to order out, when I was living with my father at his mansion, we would have a chef to make us meals whenever we were hungry, but now that I'm living alone I need to get my own food which is gonna be hard cause I can't cook. Like I've literally never poured my own bowl of cereal in my life.

I decided to order sushi for dinner and being the nice and considerate person I am, I went to ask Mattia if he wanted me to order him anything. I made my way into the living room where I knew  Mattia was, but stopped once I heard his voice talking on the phone.

"You can't come over tonight, I have a new roommate and he just got settled in. I think I should give him some time before I start bringing people around. I mean, I don't wanna push him into kicking me out. How about I come over to yours tomorrow?" Mattia whispered as if he didn't want me to hear. He said goodbye before hanging up. I walked fully into the room, clearing my throat to catch his attention. Mattia turns, looking down at me. "Uh, I was about to order some sushi for dinner, would you like me to order you anything?" I ask nicely. Mattia stares at me for a second before breaking out into a smile.

"Sure, just order double of what you're getting." He says. I nod before going on my phone and placing the order on Uber Eats. We sat at the counter in an awkward silence as we waited for the food to arrive. "Ok, this is too awkward. Let's get to know each other while we wait." Mattia agrees and so we start talking.

"So what do you do for work?" Mattia asked. I hated when people asked me this because then I tell them that I'm on a trust fund and that I don't work. People usually judge me and view me as a spoiled brat or they take advantage of me. I guess Mattia could see my hesitation because he spoke up. "You don't have to tell me, I mean I don't like talking about work either." He said. I took a deep breath and shook my head. "I actually don't work. My dad funds me. He's basically paid for my entire life." I say avoiding eye contact. It was silent for a moment before I heard a low chuckle coming from beside me. "What's so funny?" I ask shyly. "So you're a trust fund baby?" Mattia snickers. A frown made it's way onto my face. It was the first day we met and he was already judging me.

"I guess that's cool. I mean, at least you don't have to bust your ass to make a living." Mattia commented. I sighed out in relief that he didn't think that I was spoiled. "Yeah, I guess." I shrug. "So what do you do for work?" I ask trying to take the attention off of myself. Mattia tenses up, but then relaxes a bit. "I do a little of everything. Nothing in particular..." His answer was very vague, but he seemed like the type of person who didn't like being interrogated so I chose to just nod and continue the conversation.

"So, do you have a girlfriend?" I ask casually trying to figure out if that's the person he was talking to on the phone earlier. Mattia smirked, then smiled then full out laughed. "Nah, I don't do relationships like that." Mattia says. "How about you, you got a special guy or girl?" He asks. "First off guy, and no. I stopped dating a while ago after my last relationship." I visibly cringed at the thought of my gold digging ass ex. We talked for a bit more until Mattia excused himself to use the bathroom.

Suddenly the doorbell rang so I got up to answer it. "Hey, delivery for Kairi Cosentino?" The boy spoke as he held up the take out bag. "It'll be $36.99, please." I nodded and pulled put a $50 bill. "Keep the change." I said with a smile. "Thanks, I appreciate it. Uh, this might be super unprofessional but would it be too much asking for your number. I'd li-" The delivery guy didn't even get time to finish his question as we heard Mattia's deep voice interrupt us. "What's going on here?" He asked walking up to the door, standing directly behind me.

His left hand was placed on the doorframe and his right was laying on my waist. The delivery guy looked at Mattia and back at me then gulped. "Sorry, I shouldn't have over stepped. Have a nice night." He muttered before rushing off. I furrowed my brows as Mattia slammed the door shut and grabbed the bag out of my hands, taking it to the kitchen. "What was that?" I asked slightly taken aback. "What was what?" Mattia replied dryly. "You were so rude to that poor guy, he was just doing his job." I said a bit confused. "Asking for your number isn't apart of his job." Mattia stated as he took out our food. "Don't worry about him, Kairi. Just eat your food like a good boy." He said after a beat of silence. I just sighed, not even trying to argue.

Ws ate, mostly in silence but with occasional small talk. The first day at my new house was already off to a great start.
