Kairi

I hate it here.

It's been two weeks since Mattia and I moved in together and I hate it. Every day its something different with him. Either he's being hella rude for no reason or he's having company over. Which he does basically every day. They're so loud too. I always hear screaming coming from his room, but I usually have my headphones in to drown out the sound.

Right now, it was a Thursday night and he just came back from work or wherever he goes during the day. I was attempting to make spaghetti. Key word ATTEMPTING. I still suck at cooking so I don't do it. I heard him grunt as he threw his keys onto the counter. "Hey, how was your day?" I ask politely turning to greet him with a smile. "What the hell are you doing?" He asks rudely. He walks closer to the stove and looks in the pot that had the food I was trying my best to make. "Why can't you do anything right?" He rolls his eyes.

I mean it's true, but he didn't have to say it like that. I felt tears well up kn my eyes as he push me to the side, getting ready to fix my mess. "Aren't you half Italian? We're supposed to be naturally good cookers, but here you are proving everyone wrong." I just stood there quietly as he talked his shit. When he was done, he set the food on two plates and brought them to the dining table. "Come eat. You're tiny ass needs all the food you can get to grow."

I silently shuffled to the table and sat across from him where he placed my plate. We ate in complete silence before Mattia spoke up. "So did you stay in all day or did you go out?" He asked making eye contact for the first time since he came home. "I stayed in most if the day, but I went out to meet my dad for lunch." I mumbled looking down at my plate. "Look at me when I talk to you and speak up." He demanded, I immediately looked up and caught his heated gaze. "Did you come home straight after lunch or did you meet up with somebody else?" He asked.

"I came straight home. The only person I saw was Jeffrey since he drove me home." I replied. That was another thing about Mattia. He always wanted me home. No going out with friends (not that I had any) and certainly no guests, especially boys. He hated it when I paid attention to anyone else other than him and my father.
Mattia stared at me for a second before nodding with a slight smile. "Good boy."

I smiled back and we continued eating. After dinner, Mattia went to take a shower as I cleaned up our mess. Thank God for dishwashers cause I never learned how to wash dishes either. Afterwards I went to my room, I had to meet my dad at the country club tomorrow so I chose out my outfit while waiting for Mattia to be done. Usually he would sit with me in the living room and watch a movie if he felt like it that day, or if he didn't have other guest to attend to. Whenever he had people over, I wouldn't be aloud to meet them. He just brings them straight to his room and locks the door. Actually, his bedroom door is always kept locked.

I sat on the couch, flicking through Netflix until our doorbell suddenly rang. I got up, wondering if he was expecting someone. When I opened the door, my jaw dropped. There stood a tall, tan curly headed boy. He was beautiful... almost as beautiful as Mattia. Our eyes met and he grinned even wider, showing off his dimples. "Well damn." He muttered under his breath. "Uh, who are you?" I asked once I collected my thoughts. "Oh, yeah. I'm Alejandro, a friend of Mattia's." He said. I nodded and stepped aside, letting him in. "He didn't tell me you were coming. Uh, you can just wait in the living room, he should be out of the shower soon." I said guiding him to the couch.

"Now I know why he keeps you in." Alejandro whispered almost to himself, but I still heard. "Huh? What do you mean?" I ask confused. "I mean, if I had someone as pretty as you living with me, I'd want them for myself as well. " He spoke while licking his lips eyeing me up and down. I blushed at the way his sultry voice was slightly raspy. "Um, thank you?" I said but it sounded like more of a question. "What I don't get though-" He took a pause looking into my eyes. "- is why he hasn't brought you into his-" Suddenly Mattia walked into the room interrupting Alejandro from what he was saying.

"What the fuck is going on here?" Mattia asked, clenching his jaw. Alejandro rose from the couch, going in for a dap up that Mattia declined, glaring. "I thought I told you not to come unannounced." Mattia said to Alejandro in an intimidating manner. Alejandro shrugged and looked back at me. "Yeah, now I know why. You've been hogging cutie over here. But I won't stand for it any longer. I'll be coming around more often to spend time with Kairi. I have a feeling that we'll be very close."

It was then that I noticed two things. First off, I had never told Alejandro my name which meant that Mattia must have spoken about me to his friend. And second that Mattia looked like he was going to slap the life out of Alejandro. It was awkward for a moment. Just Mattia glaring at Alejandro as the latter smiled fondly at me. I smiled back, obviously.

"Kairi, go to your room." Mattia said through gritted teeth. "Wha-" He raised his hand to silence me. "What did I say about questioning me? Go. Now." I nodded before scurrying off to my bedroom. I heard some shouting which seemed to be in Spanish then I heard Mattia's bedroom door slam shut.

As I was saying before, I hate it here lol.
