I was in the kitchen just sitting on my phone when I suddenly got a call from my dad. "Hi, Papa." I say answering the call. "Kai, son. I need your help." I furrow my brows, my dad almost never asks me to do anything. He usually is the one telling me to just sit on my ass and let myself be taken care of. "What is it Papa?" I ask sitting a bit straighter.

"Well you know the Figueroas? Their daughter Taylor is having a birthday dinner and she's inviting you. I'd like it if you'd go and celebrate with her..." I huff out in annoyance. My dad knew just how much I hated Taylor. "But Papa!" I exclaim into the phone. "You know how much I hate that bitch." I say as Mattia walked into the room, raising his brows at my choice of words.

"I know, but I'd be good for business. Please just go, enjoy the dinner maybe bring her a gift and then leave. It'll look good if my son was acquainted with my business partners daughter." I just stayed silent, pouting although he couldn't see me. "Please,Kai? If all goes well we'll have a dinner date just you and I. I'll take the whole night off and we could do whatever you want." I took a moment, pretending to think and then sighed. "Fine, but don't expect us to be besties after this." I reply.

"Thank you, my love. Plus, her parents said you could bring a plus one. How about taking one of your friends with you?" My dad suggests. I look up, seeing Mattia shirtless, standing at the fridge. I bite my lip and nod. "Yeah, I'll do that. Bye Papa, love you." I say. "Bye, Kairi. Love you more, son." He says before we hang up.

"Um, Matti?" I say catching his attention. "Yeah, Kai?" He turns to look at me. "So this girl named Taylor is having a birthday dinner and my dad is forcing me to go..." I paused, hesitating a bit. "I was wondering if you'd come with me so I don't have to endure the torture alone?" I ask, biting my lip nervously." Mattia stared at me with a blank expression before smiling. "Of course I'll go with you. When is it?" He asks.

"Um, its later tonight." I say sighing in relief that he said yes. "Alright, let's go get ready." He says. We stand up and go to our separate rooms getting prepared for the party. I quickly texted Jefrey asking him to pick me up a few items since I didn't buy Taylor a gift yet. I stepped into the shower, washing myself then went over to my closet picking out an outfit.

I chose a grey silk button down shirt, paired with my navy blue Burberry suit. I slipped on plain black socks and my navy blue dress shoes. I went to my mirror, fixing my middle part and checking my appearance. When I was satisfied, I spritzed on some of my custom cologne which was rose water, lavender oil and a bit of musk. It gave me a sweet scent while still smelling like a man.

I grabbed my phone, seeing that Jeffrey left me a text saying that everything I asked for was in front of our door. I went over, seeing my items and smiled as I placed them into a large gift bag. I waited, just playing on my phone while Mattia was finishing up getting ready.

He came out, dressed in all black. He had a black button down and some black dress pants. He wore black and gold dressy shoes and the staple of his outfit was a black and gold Gucci belt. His hair was gelled back but loose strands fell slightly ove his forehead. He looked hot.

"You ready?" He asks. I nod and we exit the house, going down into the garage. "We're taking my car. I mean no offense, but your Jeep just isn't it." I say with a grimace. He just nods and takes my keys, going to the driver's door. I set the address into the GPS, and we start the drive.

We sat in silence, faint music playing from the radio. Mattia gripped the steering wheel tightly, showing off his veins. Ugh, he was so hot without even trying. Honestly, it was unfair.

We arrived and I plastered on my fakest smile. God this was about to be dreadful.
