Kairi

We were giving Mattia's mom a tour of the apartment when she suddenly started walking towards Mattia's room. My eyes widened as me and Mattia exchanged a look.

We practically ran towards his bedroom before his mom could enter. I turned off the red LEDS and switched to regular lights. Auguri entered, looking around.

"Ugh, Mattia. You're room is so dark and dull. You should add more colours that aren't black and red." She says walking around the room.

Mattia stifles a laugh as she says that.

Then she stars nearing the closet going to open it, but I quickly stop her.

"Hey, we should go shopping! Yeah, let's do that. We could get to know each other better." I suggest, stepping in front of the closet doors, stopping her from opening them.

Mattia's mom gives me a weird look before smiling. "Sure, let me grab my purse." She says exiting his room.

I sigh in relief, but then realize what I had just done. Now I have to spend time with Mattia's mom alone.

"Crap, why did I say that?" I mumble into Mattia's chest. He just laughs and shrugs.
"Its not all too bad, now the two most important people in my life can get to know each other better. It'll be fine."

Auguri

"Hey, lets go into here." Kairi suggests as we walk around the outdoor shopping center downtown.

We had been shopping together for almost two hours now and I had been grilling him on his relationship with Mattia. I wanted him to say or do something wrong so I could catch him lacking and make Mattia break up with him.

Kairi was cute and all, but was he really the one for Mattia? I didn't think so.

I mean, they were so different. Kairi was way too nice and quiet compared to Mattia's loud and aggressive personality.

Plus, he dressed like a frat boy. He owns way too many button downs and polos.

We enter the store and I immediately drag Kairi to the women's section. He follows behind me as I sift through the clothes.

"You have to try this on!" I say pulling a pink dress off of the rack. Kairi stares at it with a frown and shakes his head. "That's for girls." He says uninterested.

"Yes, but this shade would look so nice on you! It would compliment those cute little rosy cheeks of yours." I say holding up the dress to his body. Kairi's blush only grows darker as he shakes his head in embarrassment.

"How about this? You can pick out pink clothing, in the men's section." He says steering me towards the other side of the store. "Deal."

"Let's take a break to get some ice cream!" Kairi exclaims happily. I smile and nod.

Great.

This gave me a chance to do my plan.

We walked to the ice cream shop and Kairi holds the door open for me. "Hey, Kai? Do you think you could just order for me, I have to use the bathroom." I lie, which he falls for. "Sure, what flavour?"

"Surprise me."

He smiles, walking to the counter. Once his back is turned, I quickly walk up to a guy that looked about his age and tapped his shoulder. "I'll pay you $50 to flirt with that boy over there and ask for his number."

The guy looked confused, but agreed anyways. He walked up to Kairi, and started flirting. I saw him put a hand on Kairi's waist but the other just removed his hand with an annoyed look on his face.

Kairi said something before turning around and stepping away from the man. I placed a fake smile on my face as I walked up to Kairi who was getting the ice cream.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" I say taking the ice cream cone that he was handing me. "Yeah, I dont want to be here anymore." "What did I miss?" I say trying tosound clueles. "You just missed some random guy trying to get my number. I had to reject him." Kairi says casually.

"Oh, really? How weird."

We do a little more shopping and I was still trying to catch him slipping up but he never did.

When we got back to the apartment, the first thing Kairi did was go to hug Mattia. "Mm, I missed you bubba." Mattia whispered to him. "Hey, mom. How'd it go?" He asks.

"It was great. Except for the part when some dude tried to hit on me. He wouldn't take no for an answer so I told him that if he didn't leave me alone then I'd call my boyfriend." Kairi answered rolling his eyes.

I mentally facepalmed, I really wanted to find some reason to make Mattia break up with Kairi, but this kid was so perfect it was sickening.

For the rest of the night, I felt like a third wheel as Mattia and Kairi cuddled on the couch while we watched movies.

Maybe I was wrong about Kairi.
