i am ElegantShe stares at the girl smiling at her. Her eyes full of life and her face so bright with happiness.
The girl looks so...so...so happy.
She wants to be happy too.
Picking up the closest thing to her, she throws it at the girl that was looking at her.
But it just bounces back, hitting her instead.
"Why are you so happy? Stop it! We aren't supposed to be smiling! We're supposed to cry!" She sobs, screaming at the mirror, "Be sad! Cry with me! I don't like it when you smile!
"I want to smile too! Why can't I?" She yells at her reflection, her voice clogging up.

Walking backwards as she keeps on screaming, her back hits the wall and she slides down. Burying her face in her knees, trying to quieten herself before her parents would tell her off at all the shouting disturbing the party downstairs.

"I-I'm so-sorry. It's an instinct." She bites her lips harshly, to stop the stuttering and the women gets up. Telling her that it's okay.
She's okay now.
She wasn't.
I want to be happy like everyone else.
