No one told me who my husband was, Lwando and I would hook up whenever he was in Durban which was very often, I was now 5 months pregnant and my tummy was showing, he last saw me a month ago and my tummy then was not that visible so he didn’t notice much though he did notice my breast growing and my ass but as for my tummy and everything else he was clueless.
I had just gotten out of class when I got to my apartment and he was already waiting for me by my door. I literally froze on the hallway, he was leaning by my door pressing his phone, he was dressed in slim fit black chinos, black blazer and shades on with loafers on, I got closer and I noticed he was wearing a powder blue shirt with a navy black tie that matched his shoes.
I took a deep breath “Lwando”
He looked up and then looked at me from head to my belly “You pregnant” he said with his mouth hanging open “How far along are you? Ayola why didn’t you tell me?” he asked all these questions at the same time.
“may I open the door please” I said playing with my key
He looked at me “Ayola I asked you a question” he said sternly
“and I asked you to move aside Lwando” I said annoyed
He took a deep breath and moved aside “when were you planning on telling me?” he asked walking in behind me
I shrugged “when were you planning on telling me that you worked for my father?”
“fuck that Ayola!” he said banging the counter startling me, I turned to him “Ayola you are carrying our child, this is different from me working for your father. You cant marry some fucker pregnant with my child” he said walking towards the window
I walked to the sink and poured myself some water “Lwando what are you doing here? you can’t just rock up at my place whenever it suits you”
He chuckled “excuse me?” I looked at him drinking my water “I will visit you whenever I want to visit you Ayola!” he exclaimed
I sighed “Lwando I had a long day and I still need to make something to eat, I don’t have time for this” I said taking my shoes off
He followed behind me “then lets go and buy food” he said walking in behind me
I wore my flip flops and turned to him “fine” I said
He let me walk out first while he closed behind him. We drove to McDonald in silence, he got me a fold over meal and nuggets then passed by KFC and got me zinger wings, cravings ok! we drove back to my apartment in silence. I opened with him behind me carrying our food
“so you weren’t going to tell me?” he asked placing the food on the counter
I shrugged “no. I didn’t know how to and telling you was only going to complicate things”
“fuck that Ayola!” I rolled my eyes “Ayola I’m not going to sit back while you marry some idiot. No child of mine is going to have a step father while I’m still around” he said
I chuckled “and no child of mine is going to be associated with a criminal father!” he looked at me shook “I know what the $pritz do. I know what you people are capable of Sniper!” I said taking my food to the lounge.
He came to sit next to me and placed his hand on my thigh “Majola” I looked at him “can we just talk about this calmly.” He pleaded
“Lwando it makes no difference.” I complained “This wedding is going on whether I like it or not. I don’t have a choice here and the last thing I want is to have my father kill you for messing around with me because he will kill you” I said with panic in my voice
“Ayola”
“Lwando please” I pleaded with my puppy eyes “please just let things be ok? I’m pregnant and the last thing I need right now is to mourn my baby daddy” he looked at me and he shook his head, I cupped his face “when the time is right we will tell him”
He shook his head “I can’t just sit back and watch some fuckface raise my child Ayola” he argued
“WHAT?” a voice exclaimed behind us. I knew who it was, I didn’t want to turn but what choice did we have really? “What did you say Sniper?” he roared startling both of us
“da..”
He cut me off “don’t say a single word Ayola!” I kept quiet and sunk back in my seat. “I am talking to you Sniper!”
Lwando swallowed hard and stood up “Mr Ma..” he raised his hand and Lwando kept quiet
“I trusted you with my daughter! You fucking played me for a fool!” he pulled out his gun and placed it on Lwando’s forehead “How dare you fuck my daughter?”
“dad ple…”
“Shut up Ayola. Just shut up!” he said looking at me and then turned back to Lwando “Don’t you have anything to say? huh?”
“Daddy please” I pleaded
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!” he roared
I shook my head looking at Lwando “Daddy please” I whimpered
“Ayola leave” Lwando said calmly
I shook my head “NO. I wont let him kill you” dad chuckled
“Should I put a bullet through his head for you to listen to me huh?” he asked corking his gun
The amount of fear that crept in was enough to send me straight to the labour ward I swear, at that moment I was convinced I’d give birth then and there
“dad please” I begged “I will do anything, just please let him go. Please drop the gun” I begged with my hands clasped together
He looked at me for a while before lowering his gun, I saw relief wash over Lwando’s face, next thing dad threw a punch at his face “You fucking asshole!” he said throwing in another one
“Daddy please!” I screamed
He didn’t pay no mind to me, he hit Lwando scolding him for making me pregnant and not taking responsibility. He was deaf by rage, nothing I said or screamed out was enough to stop him from beating Lwando into a pulp and Lwando just let him. he didn’t fight back
“if you don’t stop hitting I swear I will pull this trigger” I said with the gun on my head
“Ayola put that gun down” Lwando scolded
“Ayola don’t be stupid” dad said calmly
I shook my head “dad leave” he shot me a look “please” I pleaded with tears rolling down my eyes
He looked at me for a while before walking towards me “because you my daughter and I don’t want to lose you to him. I’ll leave but tomorrow I expect you home first thing in the morning” he said with his hand held out. I placed the gun on his hand, he chuckled in disbelief “meet your husband” with that he walked out
I don’t know for how long I stood there frozen, so this whole time my husband was going to be Lwando. I stood there trying to piece everything together. Lwando did tell me that he was using his mother’s surname and his father’s surname was Ndila but because it was a while back I had forgotten about all of that and also because he never spoke of his parents so shoot me for being ignorant. Did this mean he knew about our marriage?
“Ayola” he scoffed trying to get up
I looked at him and walked to my room and locked my door. I couldn’t deal with him or anything that’s happened in the past few minutes. I felt alone and lied to. How could I have not seen this coming?
I sunk to the floor with tears gushing out of my eyes, the pain in my heart was not one I could put into words, its not one I’d wish upon anyone for that matter, it felt physical, it felt like my heart was bleeding and the wound was so deep nothing could stop it. Ok maybe my hormones were also playing a role on the way I was feeling but I needed to be alone
I don’t know when I fell asleep but when I woke I was neatly placed inside the covers and Lwando watching me sleep. Dad really did a number on him ey, he had a few plasters here and there on his handsome chiselled face.
“hey” he said with a faint smile
I battered my lashes trying to get a clear image of him “did you know?” he raised an eyebrow “did you know that you and I were supposed to get married when I finished my degree?”
He sighed “I did not know that you were the person I was supposed to marry. I was just told that my future wife was still in varsity and that we would get married when she finished her degree”
“and you didn’t think to tell me that you yourself would get married off someday? You didn’t think to tell me that your parents had arranged a marriage for you” he shrugged. I scoffed “wow”
He frowned “you one to talk. You met my parents Ayola. I told you who they were and you met them, you had dinner with them”
“I did not know that they were your parents. You never talk about them Lwando. I did not know that they were the Mr and Mrs Ndila that are your parents” I defended
He chuckled sarcastically “you have no right to be mad at me. we both lied to each other and that’s that! we need to find a way forward”
I shook my head “I am not marrying you!”
He chuckled “yeah right we’ll see about that!” he said getting up from the bed “come join me for a shower” he said before stripping naked. I sat there watching his handsome body that had bruises here and there “you can sit there and watch or you can strip naked and come join me” he said with his hand held out.
Who was I to refuse him? You see when I got with Lwando it was like I was in a club and they had my favourite drug and no matter how hard I tried to resist, it never worked because I always ended up taking it. That was the effect Lwando had on me, he was my drug, my favourite drug and I could never say no to him no matter how hard I tried to resist the urge.
When I walked in the shower he was facing the wall and the water was running down on his naked body like tiny rain drops. I hugged him from behind and he took my hands and kissed them
“future” he said
“why are we like this? why cant we be normal?” I asked laying my head on his back
“we wouldn’t be Lwayola if we were normal” he said playing with my hands. he turned to me and then cupped my face and planted a wet kiss on my lips which I gladly responded to. he broke it “I love you Ayola, this, tonight changes nothing”
I sighed “if we going to get married and raise this child together then you will have to leave the $pritz” I said wrapping my arms around his neck
He nodded “of cause. now can I eat you up, 3 weeks is too damn long!” he said tracing wet kisses on my body. I let out a moan and he laughed, his touch was enough to turn me on, I’m sorry but that’s the effect he had on me.
He knelt in front of me and then placed my leg on his shoulder, I held onto the shower walls for balance, he kissed my inner thighs tracing his way to my kitten, I moaned his name here and there, I was ready to orgasm, that’s how bad I wanted him. he got to my kitten and ravished me like his favourite dish, it didn’t even take a minute for me to let it all out but clearly that was not enough for my man because he didn’t stop until I could barely balance on my other leg, I had lost count of the amount of times he made me cum with his hands and mouth. he got up and flipped me over and hit it from the back massaging my boobs and kissing on my neck
“I love you Ayola!” he said with every stroke going in deeper and deeper until I came again
“Lwando” I whispered breathlessly
“its ok Angel” he groaned pounding on me
By the time we both came I could barely even say a word, this was the satisfaction I had been needing these past three weeks he was gone. he did everything right, he satisfied me enough for the next coming days but knowing Lwando he was not done with me. We got out of the shower and slept for about 30 minutes before going again.
Nigga had energy for days!
