The next couple of days were hell. I had my husband and our family’s support but I still felt alone. I felt like a prisoner, everyone was always watching me like a hawk. It had been a week since we lost him or her. My husband was the most supportive through this ordeal but sometimes I just wished he could leave me alone just so I could grieve alone. I woke up to an empty room and the cry of my daughter on the monitor, I had been so distant from her I’m certain she thought she didn’t have a mother anymore. I got up and wore my gown and made my way to her room, we lived in Lwando’s house in Beacon Bay, mom and my mother in law were always there 24/7 it was even annoying at times. I had lost so much weight and even had dark circles under my eyes. I walked inside her room and took her, she stopped crying the minute I held her in my arms
“hey” my mother in law said walking in
I turned to her “hey Mah”
She made her way to us “how are you?”
I went to sit on the rocking chair “I don’t know” I said with a shrug. I placed my finger inside her tiny fist and she held me tightly and smiled, I couldn’t help but smile too
“its good to see you smile” mom said
I shrugged and faked a smile “yeah”
“Lwando went for his therapy sessions” she said
I nodded “when will he be back?”
She shrugged “in an hour or two. He didn’t say” I nodded “uhhm I had just finished mixing her bottle, can I take her while you go and shower?” she said
I took a deep breath and handed her to her grandmother. I stood up and went to my room. I searched for my phone and dialled Lwando’s number. I knew my husband and he would have sent me a message if he really went for his therapy sessions.
He answered “Majola”
“where are you?” I asked walking to the shower
“I’m driving inside the yard right now” he said
I went by the window to check and he was indeed “ok cool. Bye” I said dropping the call. I went to the bathroom and turned the water on while I brushed my teeth
“Majola” his husky voice said behind me
I looked at him in the mirror as he wrapped his arms around me “hey”
He kissed my neck “hey. How are you?”
I spit “I’m ok. how did the session go?” I asked drinking water
“it was ok I guess” he said letting go of me. he took his clothes off and then got inside the shower, I took my pjays off and joined him. he turned to me “lets go for our honeymoon”
I looked up at him “what did you do to Siphe?”
His muscles tensed up “I was thinking we go to Mauritius. I’ve never been”
I chuckled “Lwando!” I scolded
“what do you think?” he said
I took a deep breath and turned my back to him “you didn’t need to kill her. I thought you were done with that life”
He rubbed soap on my body squeezing my breasts “I was never going to let her get away with killing our baby Ayola” he said calmly
I breathed out “Lwando”
He turned me around “Ayola I miss you. can we not talk about this?” he asked squeezing my ass
I rolled my eyes “Lwando can we not do this” I said removing his hands
He let out a sigh “Ayola what do you want?”
“a husband that does not go on a killing spree just because we lost a child” I said yelling
He shot me a stern look “so what? I was supposed to just let her be? Let her roam around these streets after everything she’s put us through? I cant Ayola. That’s not me”
I sighed “Lwando”
“What Ayola?” he roared startling me, I looked up at him I saw the pain in his eyes. the pain was always there but I never quite noticed it until now. This really hit him hard and me shutting him out did not make the situation any better. “I’m sorry” he said humbled “I’m sorry Majola”
I cupped his face and stood on my tiptoes to plant a kiss on his lips, he responded with so much pain. We shared a kiss and soon after the kiss escalated into an intense makeout session, no foreplay just deep penetration until we both exploded. He picked me up while I closed the water behind him and he took me to our bedroom where we picked up where we had left off. Sex with Lwando was always therapeutic, it had a way to make all my troubles go away. It was rough but it was very slow and unrushed, with every stroke the emotional pain seemed to fade away into pleasurable pain. I’m not saying sex fixed anything but for a split second our souls were connected and the pain that was once there seemed to fade into nothing but pleasure.
“I’m sorry” he said running his hand on my upper arm
We were both laying on our sides facing each other with a throw over our naked bodies
“its ok. We needed this” I said breathing out
He looked at me and smiled “you bruise easily”
I chuckled “says the one with scratches on his back”
He laughed “you need to remove these fake nails before people start thinking I fight tigers for a living” I poked him and he laughed “I’m serious”
I rolled my eyes and clicked my tongue “it will teach you to be gentle next time”
He shot me a look “as gentle as I was with you right now? Ha.a sisi don’t start please”
I giggled “I love you Lwando”
He kissed my forehead “I love you too Majola”
I breathed out “We have a daughter I need to attend to”
He pouted “but you not done attending to your husband”
I laughed “I will attend to my husband when we go to our honeymoon” I said winking at him
He gave a naughty smile and wiggled his eyebrows “mmmh I cant wait”
I stood up “control yourself!” I scolded walking to the closet”
“I cant when you put ideas into my head Mrs Me” he said walking in behind me
I wore leggings and his oversized t-shirt, I couldn’t wear an underwear because Lwando did a number on me, my kitten was on fire! I stood in front of a mirror, I had lost so much weight, I barely had any curves or ass.
“don’t do that to yourself” he said standing behind me
“what?” I asked looking at him in the mirror
He hugged me from behind “feeling sorry for yourself. You going through stuff, you bound to lose weight” he said kissing my neck
“I’m ok babe. Chill” I said unwrapping his arms around me.
I left him in the room and went to the kitchen where my mother’s were. They both smiled when I walked in
“you look better” mom said
I chuckled “I feel a little better”
“yeah I’m sure” my mother in law said with a side smile
I mentally hit my forehead. These women and being nosey!
“alright people. Can I feed my daughter?” I said with my hands held out
Mom shook her head “you need to eat first” she said pushing a plate over to me
I sat on the high chair and started digging in, it had been a while since I last had breakfast. I barely ate anything, the only time I ate was at night because my husband forced me too but either than that I didn’t eat.
His cologne filled the kitchen before he even showed up “family” he said before sitting next to me
“hello. You seem better?” his mom said
He looked at me and smiled “yeah I feel better”
“stop showering with your cologne” I said poking him
He chuckled “you love how I smell”
I rolled my eyes “says who?”
He laughed and started tickling me “you know you do” he said tickling me
“stop” I said in between the laughs
“admit it first” he said
I could barely even breathe “I love your smell” I said in between my laughs. He finally stopped
“you kids” mom said laughing
“thanks mom” I said trying to catch my breath
They all laughed. At least a little laughter was progress from where we were a week ago.
“I have to go” he said getting up
“where to?” I asked sulking
He chuckled “I will be back. I just need to buy a few things before we leave that’s all”
“leave?” mom asked
“where to?” his mom also asked
“it’s a surprise for my wife” he said giving me that naughty smile of his
I giggled “whatever” I said rolling my eyes
“you can always come with me if you want” he said nudging me
“I thought it was a surprise” I asked
He nodded “it is but I don’t know your size anymore”
I squinted my eyes “are you saying I lost weight?”
He wandered his eyes “maybe I am”
“hello! Mothers still in the room” my mother in law exclaimed
We both looked at each other and laughed
“let the kids be” my mother defended
“yes Mah, let us be!” I argued
“go change I’ll wait here” he said kissing my cheek
I stood up and made my way upstairs, I wore a simple maxi dress and a flat sandal with a denim jacket on top, tied my hair up and headed downstairs.
“you look pretty” mom said as I walked into the kitchen
“thank you mom” I said taking my little one “we leaving with her”
My mother in law frowned “come on. Go and bond with your husband” she argued
I sighed “fine”
