You were almost done packing by now, but you still couldn't stand the thought of leaving your entire life behind. Everyone you knew would remain here while you would now be in a different town. Worst of all, you couldn't stand the thought of losing Kiyo. He was everything to you. You two were so close. How could you form a bond that strong with anyone else? It felt wrong. You didn't want to make new friends. But you also didn't want to endanger your family.

Your eyes teared up just thinking about it. You were sitting in class, looking at your book. You had barely done any work. What was worse? You couldn't tell anyone that you were moving, where to, and why. You had thought about sending letters, but the gang could easily find your family again if they got their hands on a letter. You wanted to tell Kiyo everything, like you always had, but your mother didn't let you.

"(Y/N), are you alright? You've been rather down lately." Your best friend's voice brought you out of your dark thoughts. You wanted to cry and tell him all of it. You wanted to hug him. You just wanted to talk to him. But you knew you couldn't.

"Yeah, I'm fine." You lied, hiding your face behind your (h/c) fringe. You couldn't even look at him. You didn't want him to know, but at the same time you did.

"I can tell when you are lying. I know you better than you think." He said, nudging you.

"I can't tell you." You retorted.

"Why is that?"

"I can't tell you that either."

"You're acting strange."

"Please, just drop it."

"I simply want to talk with you."

"I can't tell you Kiyo!" You choked back a sob.

"Miss (L/N)! Settle down and focus on your work!" Your teacher said sternly. You jumped and looked back at your book, waiting for this class to finally be over. You made an attempt at doing your work, but you couldn't focus. There was too much on your mind. You really didn't want to start over. You were perfectly happy with your life as of now. You didn't want to change that.

After a long time of waiting, class was finally over and you were getting up to leave. Suddenly, Ami came up to you.

"Hey, you alright?" She asked, wrapping an arm around you. Kiyo stood up, being much taller than the two of you. He looked down at Ami with an annoyed expression.

"Yeah, I'm okay." You forced the biggest possible smile onto your face. Kiyo grabbed your arm and began to drag you away. "Hey! What are you doing!?" You yelled, barely being able to keep up with him as you were dragged out of the classroom.

"I must speak with you away from Ami." He stated. You yanked your arm out of his grasp in an attempt to get away from the situation. "I would really appreciate it if you told me what this is about. Did I say something rude to you? Was it when I made it sound like we would have a problem?"

"No, it's not anything you did." You sighed. "Just... if I don't show up to school... I'm not coming back." You spat out, tears welling up in your eyes.

"What?" He tilted his head to the side in confusion. And with that, you began sprinting away, trying to get away from the situation. You didn't want to leave him standing there, but you did. You didn't want to upset him, but you did. You didn't want to cry, but you did. Everything was going wrong.

You had soon made it home and went up to your room to continue packing. Just like you thought, you were done in around fifteen minutes. This was it. You were so close to moving out and your mother had already found a house. There was no going back. You were most likely moving tomorrow. It would be your last day of seeing Kiyo, and to a lesser extent, Ami. The question "Where would you be without your best friend?" was staring to become serious. Where would you be? Alone, definitely.
