❤️ Chapter 8 ❤️

The open days came around rather quickly and April was swiftly approaching as the school year was due to start soon. You, Kath and Laura made it a point to go together. It seemed like a cool thing to do. You were getting ready to meet Kath and for her parents to drive you down to the academy when you got a text. It was from Kath.

You smirked slightly as you made your way to her house. Once it came into view, so did Kath waving from her bedroom window. You waved back and started sprinting towards her house. You made it to the door in a matter of seconds and just as you were about to knock, it was swung open by Kath. You saw Laura behind her, trying to put her backpack on. It looked kind of funny.

"Heya! Come in quick!" Kath dragged you inside. "We have pizza!"

"Hell yeah!" Laura yelled. "It's so good! Take some!"

"Okay." You went into the kitchen and helped yourself to a slice of pizza. It was a vegetarian one, probably because Kath didn't want to eat meat. You quickly finished your slice and Kath's mom started to gather things to get into the car. And with that you were off in the direction of the academy.

Upon arrival, you noticed the place was swarming with Ultimates you had seen on the news. Damn, there were some really famous ones here. You noticed the Ultimate Detective, the Ultimate Inventor... and you could swear you saw the Ultimate Tennis Pro! Didn't he quit tennis after that incident with the mafia? Wait, wasn't he in prison!? He probably already got out...

As you made your way down the path towards the main building where there was the biggest crowd, you noticed that at the door stood a short man with half black and half white hair. He looked like a twelve-year-old. In the crowd, you noticed more of the popular Ultimates. The Ultimate Pianist, the Ultimate Artist, the Ultimate Formula One Driver... wait... could that be him? Was that Kiyo!?

"Alright now, yer all comin' with me. We're gonna 'ave a tour of the school. Don't get yerselves lost now!" He laughed a little and lead everyone inside. You didn't tear your eyes away from the boy you thought was Kiyo.

"Hey, what are you staring at so intensely, (Y/N)?" Kath asked you, bringing you out of the daze. You looked at her with confusion.

"I think I see Kiyo! He's right over- huh?" You looked back to where he was, but he had disappeared. He was probably somewhere else now... "Damn you Kath! He's gone!"

"S-Sorry! I didn't know!" Kath backed up a little. "Oh, hey! That's my cousin!" She called out and pushed through the crowd. She dragged a girl back with her. She had long hair that was dip dyed cyan. It was in a neat ponytail.

"Why did you have to drag me?" The girl sighed, looking awkwardly at Kath.

"Because I want to introduce you to my best friend!" Your friend smiled wide as you continued walking. You waved politely. "This is (Y/N) (L/N), the Ultimate Marine Biologist." She pointed to you. "(Y/N), meet my cousin, Livia! She's the Ultimate Animator!"

"Yeah, hi. Sorry, I'm a bit awkward." Livia explained.

"Wait, you're Livia James?" You asked.

"Yeah, you recognise me from somewhere?"

"You made that cartoon, right? You know, The Destroyers?" You were slightly excited. You had been watching that cartoon for a while now.

"Oh, yeah... that's probably my worst work... it's kinda stupid, hehe..." Livia laughed awkwardly. "Sorry, I kinda wanna go back to my friends now... I hope you don't mind." She pushed back through the crowd. You were once again on the lookout for Kiyo, when suddenly the crowd stopped.

"This is the main hall!" You heard the man say as he lead everyone into the huge hall. Great! There would be more room now! You could probably look for Kiyo here! As you finally entered the hall, you noticed desks set up with different teachers. They appeared to be talking about different classes. One of the teachers stood out though. Was that... no way... that was Matthew Bird, the Ultimate Drag Queen! Or as he was known in the business, Harlotte Intervention. You didn't know that he did teaching on the side. "Alright y'all! Help yerselves to snacks and desks! I'll be back in ninety minutes!" The short man said before leaving the hall. Well, time to look for Kiyo.

You walked around for a bit and spotted some familiar faces, and some completely unknown ones. Maybe you knew their names, but you were too scared to ask. Then, suddenly, a tall, dark-haired person caught your attention. Was it Kiyo? There was only one way to find out. You took a deep breath and began walking towards them.

"Umm... excuse me..." You said. The person turned around. It was... a girl with a surgical mask.

"Yes?" She asked. Damn it. That was not Kiyo...

"Uhh..." You thought for a second. Just walking away would be a bit weird. Plus, you might make a friend. And with her abnormal height, you would probably scare away potential bullies. "What's your name? I think I recognise you from somewhere..."

"I'm Chitako Morimoto. I'm sorry, I don't recognise you. Care to tell me your name?" She asked.

"I'm (Y/N). (Y/N (L/N). What's your Ultimate? I'm the Ultimate Marine Biologist."

"I'm the Ultimate Surgeon. Nice to meet-"

"HEY TAKI!" You saw Livia and an albino girl walking in your direction. Were they friends? You assumed so.

"Oh for God's sake... what do you want!?" Chitako responded.

"I saw someone that looks just like you at that table over there!" The albino girl said. Your eyes widened. You had mistaken her for Kiyo, so... maybe that was him? "Come on, let's check it out!"

"Fine. Do you want to come with?" Chitako asked you. You nodded excitedly, hoping you would see your childhood best friend again. As the four of you walked to the table, you noticed the person they were on about. The dark green uniform made you think they were an Ultimate Soldier. It couldn't be Kiyo...

"Hey! Dude!" The albino screamed.

"Olivia, stop making yourself look like an idiot. People don't need to know about that." Chitako sighed. The person in question turned around. The dark mask with a zip made you a little confused. What was that about? But then you saw it. The golden eyes. The same golden eyes that looked back at you from the photograph in your pocket. It was him. It had to be him.

"Yes? What do you need?" He asked. His eyes scanned the people in front of him, then his gaze landed on you. His eyes widened and he stopped in his tracks. "...are you... (Y/N) (L/N)?" He asked.
