Cass's POV-

One week later....

"Okay, guys. Who did this to my calendar?!" Steve demanded in an appalled voice. Everyone looked up to see what he was talking about. Written across the whole month of January was the same sentence, in each tiny square. Clint chuckled as he got up from his seat at the bar and read it.

"Ha! Remove stick from butt?" he laughed louder as he read it aloud to us. "I don't know who wrote it, but that sure is a great suggestion!"

Steve just sighed, rolling his eyes at Clint, who was on his way back to his seat. The super-soldier continued to glare at each one of us in turn, shaking the calendar angrily while searching each of our faces for a giveaway.

"So, who did it?" he demanded.

I only smiled, in the darkest corner of the room in my favorite chair with a book in hand. Loki was in the armchair nearby, giving me curious glances. I simply gave a small smile, and when Steve turned away, gave my boyfriend the smallest wink. He smirked in reply and shook his head at my newest joke. I opened the link between us. "What? He left his bedroom door wide open, just begging to get pranked. The calendar was on the wall, all exposed and I couldn't help myself," I spoke inside my head. Loki just kept shaking his head at my folly.

"Princess, your quirks are bound to get you into trouble someday." I just shrugged, rolling my eyes behind my book. "And Steve just knows I'm messing with him...for the rest of his life."

I heard Loki's head voice chuckle at me. "That is very true, my love. But please, be careful with him. He is the elderly one, out of them all." I laughed in my head and just shrugged once more, holding my book up so none would see my sneaky smile on my face. "Of course, Loki. I'll remember that next time...."

Then I closed the link.

"Steve, there's only one girl in this entire tower who writes in red ink." Natasha pointed out with a look at me, crossing her arms to make a bigger point. Great! Now Natasha was on 'Team Steve!' ( The group of Avengers who believed Steve was better for me. Also called Stevandra. Ugggghhhh.) Steve then turned his angry gaze full force on me. "Cassandra Smith...." I glanced up from my book. I acted like I had just now heard what was going on in the room outside the printed pages. I blinked my eyes innocently for effect. "Steven Rogers...." I said in response. He shoved the calendar in my face and shook it a bit in his anger.

"You did this?!"

"Maybe, maybe not...." I said with a bit of a laugh in my voice. Beside me, Loki shifted in his seat and set his book down to watch the scene play out. Please don't let Loki go ape-shit on Steve.... I prayed to myself. Steve made an angry sigh at my response. "Just say if you did already."

I got up and realized everyone had cleared out of the room. After the last time I had pranked Steve and he found out about it, Cap vs. Cass could be a real war zone. I didn't blame the other Avengers for getting the hell out of here to save themselves. I was just inches from his face, taking the calendar from him subtly with a grin. My fangs broke through my gums as I did so this time to intimidate him. Steve's eyes searched my own.

"And if I did, Steve?" I asked gently.

My eyes were allowed to bore full force at his and I could see him shake in fear, which he didn't. He just stared at me with calm, steady blue eyes.

"That's not fair."

I laughed and cocked my head to the side. "What isn't, Cappy?"

He swallowed before answering my question. "Your eyes...."
