NICK'S P.O.V.:

I entered to my house at 2 a.m. trying not to make any noise. I left my car keys on the couch and turned around to head to my room. She was standing on the stairs with her arms crossed over her chest and wearing her night dress.

"Hey babe." I told her and she chuckled.

"Don't call me babe." I frowned as I walked closer to her. "You lied to me."

"What? When did I lie to you?" I asked her with a frown and she rolled her eyes.

"You weren't with Frankie. I called him after you left and he told me you weren't with him and his car was perfect." I sighed shaking my head. "Care to explain? Who were you with?"

"I don't wanna talk about this now." She chuckled angrily.

"Why did you lie to me then?"

"Maybe because you don't trust me enough to let me live my life in peace! I'm tired of you always spying on my life. I'm not cheating on you, I don't plan on doing it. I wouldn't have married you if I wanted to have another women." I sighed again. "We'll always have problems if you don't trust me enough to not spy on me all the time."

"How can I trust you when you always lie to me? You weren't helping your brother with a broken car. You left after midnight for two fucking hours! You really expect me to believe you when you say you're not cheating on me?"

"Yes, I do."

"If you weren't cheating on me, then...where were you? Who were you with? What took you that long to finish?" I rolled my eyes and breathed deeply.

"Look, your family suffocate me and you do too when you become this weird type of wife. I love you Priyanka, but I needed air cause I was feeling suffocated. I got a text from a friend telling me to meet up and decided to go cause I wanted to relax a while. That's all. I would've left anyways if that friend didn't text me. I wanted to fucking breathe."

"Okay, so...leaving aside that my family and I suffocate you. Which friend was that?" I sighed again and titled my head.

"It was Demi. She was having issues and I just went and help her." She raised her eyebrows.

"Issues? With what? Did she need a dick or some drugs?" My eyes opened widely as I looked at her in disbelief and shook my head.

"You're so mean...she was having music issues, she needed help to finish a song and I helped her with it. We worked in her studio. That's all! Now stop being this childish and get over the fact that I used to like her once."

"You went and helped her." She said with a nod. "What kind of music issues was she having? It's not something necessary to fix at midnight."

"Look, don't get me wrong. But you'll never understand this. It's something that just musicians gets." Her jaw dropped.

"I'm a musician too. I sing too Nick!" I touched her arm.

"I'm talking about real musicians. Singers, songwriters, composers, and all those you aren't. Professional musicians."

"What the hell?" She asked with shock and I shrugged walking upstairs. "No! Nick we're not going to bed until we fix this." She said as she followed me into our room.

"Really?" I asked her with raised eyebrows and she nodded. "Well, I guess I have no choice." I said grabbing my pillow and a blanket before leaving the room.

"Where the fuck are you going?" She asked me and I chuckled.

"You said we wouldn't be going to bed until we fix this. I'm not in the mood to fix anything. So guess what? I won't be going to bed. I'll sleep in a guest's room with my stuff. Hope you don't mind." I told her with a wink and heard her groan in frustration as I closed the guest's room door sighing.

I chowed down on my lip and sat on bed as I took my shirt and shoes off. Then, I laid under the covers and put an extra blanket to warm me better. I wasn't used to sleep alone but I knew, if Priyanka and I'd continue to argue like that, I would have to get used not only to sleep alone, but to live alone too. Again.

I was watching the ceiling lost in my thoughts when my phone screen light up the room. I had a new notification. After grabbing my phone from the bedside table, I unlocked it and my eyes closed as a reflex from the hit the light gave me.

"Shit." I cursed quietly and saw it was a text from Demi.

Demi ~ thank you for helping me with my music. I'll give credit for it. I hope I didn't cause you any problems at home...

Nick ~ I don't need the credit. It's okay with the experience of working with you again. That's all I care about. And umm, about the other thing...don't worry, it wasn't you who started my problems at home

Demi ~ fuck, I should've known it wasn't a good idea to call you tonight. I'm sorry, I messed up. It's all my fault.

Nick ~ Demi, chill. We're fine. My problems here have nothing to do with you.

Demi ~ okay then...I'm still sorry

I smiled knowing that she cared about me and then, she sent another text that made my heart beat fast.

Demi ~ you forgot a paper at the studio. I saved it for you...just in case you ever want to have it back.

Nick ~ well, you can use it for a song if you need it hahaha

Demi ~ thanks for the offer but I'm gonna have to pass. It's a beautiful verse anyways...you should tell your wife you wrote about her. Maybe that'd make her feel better.

"That I wrote about her?!" I thought.

Nick ~ I could. I'll may do it. Thanks for the advice. It's always appreciated.

Demi ~ you're welcome. See you around? To give you your song back

Nick ~ haha you can keep it. But yea...see you around.

Demi ~ kay, bye Nick..

Nick ~ bye..

I locked my phone and left it on the bedside table again before sighing as I thought "My life's a mess at home, but at least I can talk with her again."
