-Leah-

"You're Amazing" He said. This man causes me to melt.

"Look at me" he commanded in a firm yet caring manner.

"I know people don't tell you that all the time, but you are great and I think what you're doing for the children at SCH is wonderful. You're beautiful, smart and charitable." I just lost it right there. Words cannot explain how great it felt to know someone was on my side. I told him how much that meant to me and I fell asleep on his chest. Something about me made me feel so at peace, like I was doing the right thing.

8:45a, Saturday Morning

When I woke up, I noticed Russell was still sleeping, sort of stretched out on my couch. I smiled at the scene, he looked so cute. I tip-toed up my basement stairs very quietly, careful not to wake Russ or the other guys. As I made it up the stairs, I had to cover my mouth to prevent myself from laughing, because both Kam and Rob were snoring very loudly. The life of NFL ballers; I know they were dead tired. I continued up the stairs to my bedroom where I walked into my closet to pull out a fresh pair of jeans and a fitted t-shirt then I hopped in the shower.

I heard my phone go off and picked it up. It was a text from my Aunt Patricia.

"Good morning sweetie. Just wanted to say I love you and am proud of you. By the way, the president of the hospital says he likes what you're doing with the palace. Oh and I've been seeing you and Russell; I have eyes everywhere. Just remember that I want a wedding to plan and some great-nieces and nephews. Ok, bye."

I love my aunt she is so silly and frank. Always saying what comes to her mind. I thought after I got out of the shower that I would make the guys some breakfast. I'm a southern girl at heart because I love hospitality and making people feel at home.

After my shower and lotioning up, I headed down stairs to make some egg-white omelets and turkey bacon. As I was frying the turkey bacon up, Robert came strolling in the kitchen.

"Good morning, Leah."

"Rob T! How was your sleep?"

"It was good. I needed that. What are you making?"

"Egg-white omelets and turkey bacon."

"Sounds good, do you have anything to make pancakes with? It's like a tradition, I have to have pancakes with breakfast."

I laughed. "Yea I should have all of the ingredients. Go for it, bro." It was cool when men liked to cook.

Rob and I got to talk a little. He told me about his daughter. It was so sweet because he lit up when he talked about her. Both him and Russ loved children and I thought that was cute.  Pretty soon everything was done and I went to wake up the other guys.

"Russ. Russ, wake up" I repeated myself, shaking Russell. His eyes opened from his peaceful sleep. "Breakfast is ready." I said reaching my arm out to grab his hand. He took a hold of my hand, his huge hands seemingly swallowing mine. I just smiled, leading him upstairs.

I then woke Kam up. "Kameron, wake up. Rob and I made breakfast" I said while shaking him. He stretched his arms out then rose up, rubbing his hands together. "Good because I felt my stomach growling, even while I was sleep. Don't ask me how..." He said giving me this side eye. This guy was hilarious.

We sat down at the table and everyone bowed their heads to say grace. I loved that! These men were raised by some really amazing women because they trained up kings.

"Rob these pancakes are so good!" I said with my mouth full. I know it wasn't the most attractive thing I've done but I had to let him know.

"Thanks, sis. Not as good as these omelets though." Rob said in his quiet, low-pitched voice.

"Yeah, Leah these are good" Russell said, winking at me. Don't make me blush at the table, Russ.

"Where'd you learn how to cook?" Kam asked me.

"By being hungry" I said. They all laughed at me.

"I'm so serious, y'all. Plus I'm not a fan of eating out too much, so I like to experiment in the kitchen."

It came to the time where they had to leave, and I became sad. It was nice to have company for a change.

I hugged them all bye. When I got to Russell, he hugged me extra tight.

"Thank you for everything, Leah. I'll call you?"

"Of course" I said hugging him back.

This guy...

-Russell-

"So, guys, thanks for crashing with me at Leah's. What do you think?" I asked them as we headed down the road back to our homes. We lived in close proximity of each other.

"About Leah?" Rob asked. "Man, I think she's a keeper. You've found a good one."

"Yeah man, she is definitely different from you-know-who. I'm surprised you came to the other side." Kam said laughing.

"Shut up, man. I didn't expect any of this though. I'm not trying to move into something too soon."

"Russ, man, I'm telling you. Don't mess this one up with all of your internalizing thoughts." Rob said. "Keep her happy." Rob was right though. I'm such a thinker and at times I can ruin things by over-analyzing.

"I'm going to be honest with you. I can't act like I didn't see you and Leah go downstairs together. I also can't lie and say I didn't hear anything. Bro, did y'all get into anything?" Kam asked me.

"Nah man, Leah isn't like that. She gave me a massage, and it became...hot. I'm not gonna lie, I almost lost control, man."

"I feel you. That's a beautiful woman. What'd you do bro?"

"I messed up. I pinner her."

"OHHH!" Both Rob and Kam said throwing their hands up. "You scared her?" Rob asked.

"Nope, she was taken aback though. She had to fan herself." I said, confidently.

"Well, she probably felt the same way." Kam said. I shrugged. I wasn't telling them anything else.

While we were driving, Richard Sherman called.

"Sherm, what's up?"

"Good morning, my brotha. You know Blanket Coverage is having the community clothing event today. Are you all gonna come through, I need your support."

"You know we are there."

"Who is that in the background?"

"Turbo and Bam-Bam." I said referring to Rob and Kam.

"Where are  y'all coming from?"

"A girl's house!" Kam said while coughing, trying to cover up what he said.

"You mean to tell me that Mr. Humble accompanied you all to a girl's house?  Do tell, my brothas, do tell."

"Well he BROUGHT us to the girl's house!" Kam said digging a dipper hole for me. I mushed his hat over his face.

"It's not even like that, man. We'll talk later."

"Alright see you all at the event around 6pm? It starts at 7pm but I need you all to help set up.

"Man, we don't do manual labor!" Kam said interjecting.

"You are tonight! See ya!" Sherm said hanging up.

I would love to invite Leah to this event, but I think it's too early to start showing her off. I don't want everyone in my business; I needed to cover myself, but I had to be sure I didn't mess this one up.

*Once again, thank you all for supporting my story. You are making me happy about doing something I enjoy which is writing! This may be boring but it's very transitional to get me to where I want to be in this story, so hang with me! -xoxo*
