A/n: I'm time skipping till the winter solstice episodes because I'm lazy.

A few stray strands of Lynn's hair moved carelessly in the wind. The only time she ever let it down now was when she was sleeping.

Katara let out a wistful sigh from next to the young Deity. "Wow, those clouds look so soft. Like you you could just jump down and land in a big cottony heap."

Sokka didn't even bother to glance up. "Maybe you should give it a try."

Aang and Lynn exchanged a glance and a coy smile. "We'll do it!" Lynn stood up, her arms spreed out like wings before she swan dove off of the air bison.

Sokka and Katara lunged forwards, eagerly glancing over the edge as the two reincarnated spirit bridge's free fell towards he harsh, unforgiving ground.

Catch!

Lynn stuck out her hand to accept her staff. A simple flick of the wrist and the wings popped out, ready to support her. In sink the two siblings soared through the air and circled upwards, landing behind the water tribe siblings.

"Turns out clouds are made of water."

"It just sort of fells like a heavy fog."

Katara's eyes shifted past Aang and Lynn. "What is that?"

Sokka leaned forwards. "It's like a scar."

Lynn's eyes hardened. "Or a burn."

Her tanned hand brushed the ashes as she knelt down. Why does the fire nation have to ruin everything?

She gasped slightly as a foggy memory flashed through her mind. Two men in fire nation clothes laughing, and a third laugh, this one higher pitched and more feminine. She recognized one of them as Avatar Roku and the female laugh was obviously Deity Esen, but who was the other man? He looked familiar...

She was snapped out of her thoughts by an acorn hitting her temple. "Ow, Katara, what was that for?"

"To cheer you up."

Lynn scowled. "Well, it wasn't helpful."

Sokka laughed. "Cheered me up."

Lynn flicked the acorn and [with a little help from air bending] hit his forehead. "Yeah, okay, I probably deserved that."

Lynn smirked. "Oh yeah, definitely."

"These acorns are everywhere. That means the forest will grow back and the creatures that lived here will return."

The conversation between the four teens pulled to a halt as an old man approached. "When I saw the bison, I thought it was impossible. But those markings...are you the Avatar?"

Aang turned to Lynn who nodded firmly. "Yes. And she's the Deity."

"My village desperately needs your help!"

The water tribe girl sighed. Just another day in the life of the Deity.

Nervously the two siblings stood in front of the village. Ōumi —who was actually awake for once, seeing as cat-owls sleep most of the day and hunt at night— circled above them. Lynn places a hand on Aang's shoulder. "We've got this."

He nodded before calling out for the spirit. They shrugged and turned around. That was easy.

They didn't make it far before Ōumi let out a feral hiss. Lynn sunk down slightly. "He's right behind us, isn't he?"

They turned and the spirit let out an echoey screech. Aang smiled. "Hi, I'm Avatar Aang and this is Deity Lynn." The spirit ignored him and continued towards the village. "We would like to help. Wait!"

The two ran after the spirit. "Please, we're just trying to do our job as the spirit bridges!"

It was Lynn's turn to try. "We command you to turn around right now!"

Hei bai did turn...and slapped them right off the roof. They both skidded for a bit before coming to a halt. A slight wave of panic I washed over the young Deity as Sokka rushed to help them. What is he doing? He'll get himself...

Her train of thought was cut off when the spirit grabbed her friend. In seconds she was in pursuit, her cat-owl and brother following her lead.

Like a stray leaf, she weaved through the trees, one arm outstretched. Closer, closer...

As her hand grasped Sokka's he disappeared into the night. Surprised, Lynn was sent tumbling head over heals into a circle of statues.
