Episode Seven, Part :
Remember That I Love You

What I'd give for the first night when you were mine.
Tried with all that I had to keep you alive.

"Hello!? Can anyone hear me?" Sol screamed out into the dark, quiet void, unable to even imagine what could be happening.

"No one's coming to save you, this time."

Sol spun around, startled by the voice. Even though she had called out, she hadn't truly expected anyone to answer her. She decided that the most logical explanation was that she was dead and she as trying to figure out what that meant.

But the person who had spoken belonged to someone Sol recognised all too well: it was herself. At least, a version of herself, anyway.

"Who are... How are you here... What the hell is happening?" Sol choked on her words, staring back at her reflection in complete disbelief. This was impossible, right?

"I'm Commander Riverly... The version of us that Rhea created. You're just Sol Riverly. Just a Sovereign of Basilisk."

"A Sovereign Rhea could never defeat," Sol spat, trying to declare the that the version of herself that belonged to Basilisk was the best version she could ever be.

"You still believe that? She managed to take you away from everyone, Sol. She stole all of your memories from you, twice."

"But I got them back, and-" Sol cut herself short, suddenly realising what it meant: she had everything back. She could remember her life from start to finish... So why was she here? The last memory she could recall was being held in the medic room as her friends ran inside, hurrying to knock her unconscious. They did The Alteration on her, she remembered, and she should have woken up...

"Why am I here?" Sol asked. "Why can't I wake up?"

"Because you're not strong enough to survive anymore. The best of you is gone. It was me, but your friends didn't want me. They put you through The Alteration for, what is it - your fourth time now? And it's killed you, Sol."

"No," she shook her head, telling herself that this was just her mind playing tricks on her. She wasn't dead. She couldn't be, not right after her friends had just got her back. The world wasn't that cruel.

"You know I'm not lying," the Commander version said to her. "Fenn put you through the procedure 10 hours ago... Surviving it once is a miracle, let alone three times. It was impossible that you were ever going to survive it today after already being through it. Honestly, I do feel bad for you. Your friends didn't even consider that. They're the ones that killed you-"

"Shut up!" Sol yelled. "You're wrong. I'm not dying today."

"I may just be a figment of your imagination, Sol, but at least I can tell you the things you can't tell yourself. It's time to give in. For too long you've tried to define your own destiny, and you should realise by now that it's the very same defiance that puts the people you love in danger, or ruins them. Take Dreea and Kodiak for example," the Commander said, "they're weak excuses for Sovereigns; in trying to save you, they planned alliances with your enemies, risking the lives of their entire clan for one person: for you. And don't even get me started on Wynn... The person you love the most in this world... He'd do terrible, awful things for you, and you know that, and you'd let him. He brought his sister out here to The City to try and save you. The minute Rhea finds her, she'll take her, and it'll be because of you-"
