Thomas had managed to calm down the other greenie, sitting and talking to her at the top of the tower. I sat with Newt at dinner, not really eating since I just had a sandwich. Something about the other girl really threw me off. I know I knew her before and there was no coincidence that we came up together. But why? What was the purpose?

"Hey greenie, what's wrong?" Newt elbowed my side lightly.

"Nothing, just not really hungry. Um, just a question though. Where exactly are we sleeping?"

He straight faced for a second. "Um..."

"Greenie can sleep with me." Minho plopped down, slamming his tray on the table. I raised my brow at him. "Don't worry. I won't try anything." There was a loud think from under the table and Minho yelped in pain. "Ow shuckface!"

"We have extra hammocks. Or they can use Alby's bed."

"Newt!" Thomas ran up to the table, the girl behind him, and grabbed the blondes arm. "Come on."

"Hey shank, calm down." Newt didn't really have a choice on whether to get up or not. Thomas dragged him up and away.

"Chuck told me that Thomas just came two days ago."

"He did."

"He acts like he's been here longer."

"Thomas is weird. He doesn't like to follow the rules, which has gotten him into some tough klunk. But I'm sure he means well."

"Hmm." I put my elbows on the tables, resting my chin on my fist.

"What you like him?"

"What?" I blushed and sat straight up. "N-no it's not like that. It's just-"

"I was joking." Minho laughed. "You've only known him for two seconds. I'd be surprised if you did."

"Yeah. I was just confused."

He nodded. "Shank does look at you kinda funny though."

I frown, my stomach growing restless. "What do you mean?"

"Well he gives the other shankette the look too. Like he knows you guys."

My stomach dropped. "Oh."

"Don't worry, though. I think he likes you better."

I blushed harder, shoving Minho away from me. "I already told you it wasn't like that. And what's with the stupid words?" He just kept on laughing.

I waited at the med hut's entrance, finding out this was the way that Thomas, Newt and other greenie came here after asking a few of the nicer boys. I heard shouting and almost went in there when I saw Gally approaching.

He glared at me. "What are you doing right here?" He didn't even wait for me to answer, he just went into the hut.

"What a jerk." I hissed under my breath. He came out a second later with Thomas behind him. I grabbed the boys arm. "Wait where are you going?"

"The slammer." He sent me a small smile and then followed behind Gally. My heart fluttered a little. What the hell? Why did I feel funny around Thomas. I just met him. There was no way there was other feelings besides friendly. Although, I did feel like I knew him. Could it be the familiarity?

"Aesara? What are you doing just standing there?" Newt came out, the girl trailing after him. "Oh, her name is Teresa."

"He said you knew my name." Teresa said. I didn't really realize when Thomas had rushed at us earlier, but her eyes were a bright blue. They glowed in the dark that had fallen moments before. "I remembered your name too."

"Alright let's head to bed and you guys can continue talking." Newt took us to the sleeping areas where a lot of the boys were already in their hammocks. He stopped at a bed, the only bed in fact.

"Alby's something special huh?" I joked.

Newt stared at the bed. "Something. Now lay down. I'll come back to check on you guys after night check." He grabbed one of the torches off the beams, taking a lot of light with him.

I took off my boots before climbing on Alby's bed. I laid down, stretching my body and sighing in contemp. "This is it."

"You don't feel weird laying in someone else's bed?"

I leaned up on my elbows. "Has to be better then the hammocks they use."

Teresa carefully sat down, taking off her shoes, then crawled next to me. "I guess. It's more comfortable that the cot in the stupid med hut."

I chewed on my lip, thinking of my next words. Teresa seemed like the kind of person who didn't really talk to people. I didn't personally like the vibe I got from her either. I sat up. "Do you know why we came up together?" I whispered to her, incase any boy could hear.

She caught on. "Not really. I was talking to Thomas earlier. He said he kind of recognized us. I don't really remember him, but..."

"I know. Me too. Like you've seen him before."

"Yeah. I told him too, but I think we were sent here for a reason."

"Chuck said that we came two days after him. And the usual boy comes up every month."

"Who's Chuck?"

"A little kid. Looks about thirteen. I'm sure you'll meet him."

Teresa looked over my shoulder, gaze far away. "You don't remember me do you?"

The question caught me off guard. "What do you mean? Do you remember me?"

"No really. There's just pieces. Pieces of you, Thomas, and some of the boys. But I don't know what it means."

I frowned. Did she have more memories then us? Newt said no one remembered anything other then their names. But I had remembered Teresa's. A sharp sting poked my eyes and my head started pounding. I groaned, holding my head, putting pressure. My mind was trying to remember something, all while Teresa's voice got smaller and muffled until it disappeared.
